Vraska, Ruler of Death 1BBB
Legendary Planeswalker - Vraska
Whenever a creature dies, put a loyalty counter on Vraska
+2: Create two 1/1 black Assassin creature tokens with deathtouch
-2: Destroy target creature or planeswalker
-12: Each opponent gets an Emblem with "Whenever you're dealt combat damage, you lose the game."
Loyalty: 3
I think this is one of my best designs. Clean, clear and simple, all abilities synergistic and connected in a elegant way with each other and perfectly in flavor with the character. In the beginning I tried to make it cost BBGG since she's Golgari, but this design doesn't have nothing that would justify the green part. So I choose a Vraska in her typical assassin mode, we know she can be monoblack sometimes (like the Scheming Gorgon version) if she wants. I love the extreme paranoia that gives the emblem, not only every creature on the battlefield is basically a Phage killer (but you can laugh maniacally), but in EDH the emblem remains (and so the terror and paranoia) even when you leave the game, which is still a pretty sweet vendetta if you still didn't manage to win after a planeswalker ultimate.
It's a cool card. The only complaint is the + is way too strong. It makes two deathtouch creatures and is +2. Making two deathtouch creatures is insane. The closest comparison at the same CMC is Sorin, Lord of Innistrad, who only produces 1 lifelink creature as a +1. A significantly better keyword, double the number of tokens, and double the loyalty. I hope you can see how insane this ability is, it rest could literally be blank and it would be a strong card. The + is probably as good or better than Elspeth, Sun's Champion, who was freakin' insane in her time and costs 6. Staying at 4CMC it doesn't seem fair for her to create even a single deathtouch creature on a +. I haven't the faintest idea what to replace her + with the only thing I can see is increasing her cost to 6 and her starting loyalty to 5 or 6.
The + being the same as her -, and her - being unconditional removal is insane. At 4 planeswalkers get conditional removal that costs more than their + gives back. The closest anyone comes to this is Nahiri, the Harbinger, the condition on her is both harsh and lax. All of this screams that she is too cheap and too strong.
This ultimate is a work of art. Simple, beautiful and scales appropriately, not disproportionately, in multiplayer.
Maybe you're right, the card in undercosted. Probably should feel appropriate at 2BBB or even 3BBB, in that case all the loyalty costs and effects are fair right?

At 3BBB all abilities are fair but starting loyalty should be higher. Either 5 or 6. To push her starting any higher you would have to increase the cost of her -.
