Well here we go! It's a bit early, but since my ride to FNM bailed, I figured I'd post round 1 with time to spare. Round 1 is as follows:[/b]
Players Must design a cycle of cards, each a different color, that contain an X in there mana cost. For example:
Burning Flame Of Doom - :xmana::symr::symr:

Burning Flam Of Doom deals X damage to each creature and player
[B]Here's the catch![/B] Cards created for the round [B]cannot deal damage or cause any loss of life[/B]. That's right, no Fireball variants this time around.
[B]Bonus Points:[/B]
-Use mana symbols in your card description - 1 Point
-Make each card in the cycle multicolor - 1 Point
-Supply a rendered image of your card - 3 Points
For those that don't know, the pairings work by matching your number with you opponent's. i.e. Player 15 would play against Player 15, or, Highflyer would play against IntoTheRain.
This round, like all others in this contest, is single elimination.
About the bonus points, I assume the "cards must be multicolor" doesn't conflict with "a cycle of cards of different colors?" And for the image bonus, I assume you want an image for all 5 cards?

As far as i can see me and absolutionis are going against eachother. Does that mean we create cards and the best of between us moves to the next round? please clarify thanks.

See what Salubrious did? He just scored 5/5 for Bonus. You're correct on the mana symbols (the easiest Bonus point to earn) and the images can be found anywhere, but they must be rendered like a card.
Also, you got the pairings right. 24 vs 24, 13 vs 13, 09 vs 09, etc. The player with the highest score out of the two of you moves on to round 2.

I'm sorry, I thought it was defined. A "cycle" consists of 5 cards (gerg, BigD). If you're going multi color, each card must have a different combination of colors (UW WG GR RB...)
Gerg - The card must have X in it's mana cost. That was in the rules
BigD - You may want to define what kind of counters your cards are ditributing
To The Judges:
-While a creature CAN deal damage, it does not simply deal damage by itself. Creature cards are perfectly fine in this round UNLESS they have a damage dealing effect.
