This is a month long contest with a minimum of 4 rounds. Each round, you will be given a selection of options to pick from. You must pick exactly one option, one "element", from each list in a given round. You then design your card, and submit it as you would in any other thread.
But there's a catch.
As soon as an entry is submitted, the "Elements" that player used are then off limits and will be crossed of the list. Futhermore, if all the elements are used up in the round, no more entries can be submitted.
At the end of the entry period (about 3-4 days or when all the elements are used) peer judging will be used, where you will judge 5 other participants based on order of submission. You must judge the card as submitted, without credence or care that they may have had less options then other players. Only the end result matters. You make a top 3 list, with the the winner receiving 3 points, 2nd 2, and 3rd 1. Over the month the points are tailed with the winner announced each month. You will be given 2 days. If you are delinquent in judging, you will be disqualified from the round. You may participate in as many or few rounds as you wish each month.

SNL: Very cool and flavorful card. I would love to see some text to flesh out its story a little more but it comes through well enough with out it. As far as the design I like it a lot, against control decks this thing is an absolute beating, but it would be tough to play against any midrange or creature based strategies. Either way I am sure it would be talked about and experimented with which is the mark of a good card.
Jimmy Groove: Is this a King Kong reference? It certainly feels like one and that is not a bad thing. Anyways I don't know about the Dominaria flavor but the rest of the card is pretty solid. Its big and powerful but requires a pretty big qualification to be met to be useful. I doubt it would see constructed play but it would be a kitchen table favorite.
Ninja Caterpie: I really like this. Its elegant design that is powerful but balanced. Its a perfect fit for the Alara block and makes Timmy happy, but doesn't break the game for everyone else.
AliasBot: Excellent design. This card captures Selesnyan (sp?) flavor perfectly and is a great build around. Its a beating but it requires the right deck to flourish, awesome work.
Gameworldleader: There is nothing wrong with this but its not very exciting. It would be a solid limited card and may even work into some RG Monster decks, but the flavor isn't really unique and its not particularly innovative.
GameWorldLeader: Meh? I'm not really sure what to say about this. It's not really massive for its size, at least in green, though I guess the pseudo-firebreathing makes up for that a little bit? It's just not...particularly interesting. Also, why would a herald get a firebreathing ability?
willows: Spiders and Innistrad are an obvious combination, but there's nothing really...spider-y about this card. Why would spiders fight things? Why would they fight things as soon as they appear? Also, in a single-player game, by the time a green deck has 7 mana - so, when a non-green deck has about 5 mana - there is no way your opponent will have 13 power's worth of creatures on the battlefield, so unless they have deathtouch you get a 13/13, yay. That also means the fight ability will come up approximately never.
Asrama: This is the most over-the-top example of Green flying hate I have ever seen, which I kind of love. On the other hand, I'm not entirely sure all of that text would fit on one card - the Morph bit doesn't help, even if it does help ground the card in Tarkir. There's also a distinct lack of a mana cost, unless that's intentional and it can only be played as a Morph, which I like the idea of. In general, though, this would be much better if it dropped a line of text or two. Or maybe three, factoring in the flavor text. There is a lot of text on this card, is my point.
Gravetitan15: I like this a lot, I just can't decide whether it's great or bad. On the one hand, 12 toughness on turn 3 (or sometimes 2, given it's green) is damn near impossible to break through by conventional (creatures) means. On the other hand, you are giving your opponent those means immediately as you summon it. Then again, Fog Bank is even more unbreakable for decks with only conventional means to deal with things, and it costs a mana less, so it's hardly broken. I guess it's just a question of whether having that massive body to throw in front of bigger threats is worth being poked for 2 damage every turn or trading two creatures later on down the line. I don't know if it's good, but I like the design.
NVRBLND: This feels like it's potentially overpowered, given that green is generally pretty good at churning out creatures and 4/4 Infect is devastating in almost every way that early in the game...but it's simultaneously a really interesting drawback that might be much harder to fulfill than I think it is. And the flavor is on point.

I appreciate the top-down design here. Great flavor, but have you noticed how annoying facing of against Mardu Hateblade or Heir of the wilds in limited can get? if I need to choose between having 3 1/1 deathtouchers or one 0/12 for three mana, I think I'll go with the deathtouchers. This can be golden in a deck that thrives on stalling the game, or one that has access to pingers, but these are not actual limited architypes you want to design for.
Razorfang Viper1G
Creature - Snake (R)
Infect
At the beginning of your upkeep put a -1/-1 counter on target creature you control. Phyrexian Oil made Mirrodin's predator's more deadly then ever, poisoning their minds and strengthening their bodies to make them perfect killing machines.
4/4
Very cool infect creature that would feel right at home in New Phyrexia, but it also feels more black than green to me. Since most infect creatures are on the small side, and this would eat them one by one in order to survive. It's still good for the cost, as a weird, infect-themed Blastoderm, but the overall flavor is black, not green.
Creatures you don't control have base power and toughness 8/8.
8/8
Oh my, that's wacky. I almost like it just for daring an thinking so far out of the box in terms of a green disadvantage. At 8/8, the cost is right, so you can't outright kill a slow opponent, but I think to really make it shine, it should cost 2 less and be a bit smaller, making at least a good tool vs control decks, in case these ever come back up.
Smitten Gargantua3GG

Trample, reach
Smitten Gargantua enters the battlefield tapped and doesn't untap during your untap step.
At the beginning of your upkeep, you may tap an untapped Human creature you control. If you do, untap Smitten Gargantua.
7/9
You forgot to add "use this ability only if you control a land named Empire State Building". I really like the flavor you were going for, but I'm kinda underwhelmed with the creature itself. It's like Deep-Slumber Titan, but with better payoff and smaller hoop to jump through. It's better, but I still feel something is missing to make me go overboard.
Conflux Gorger2GG
Creature - Wurm (R)
Trample
Conflux Gorger costs 1 more to cast for each basic land type among lands your opponents control.
6/6
Some play with the numbers is needed here. in Alara imited, this would probably end up costing seven or more - simply not worth it for a 6/6 trampler. In other metas it would probably cost six mana, which is ok for limited but nothing to get exited about. I would have loved it to be a 6/4 costing GG - powerful, but still balanced, especially in Alara limited, and it would give casual players something to think about.

3. Jimmy Groove
AliasBot:
Interesting design, solid restriction. Reminds me of Myr Superion but with self-synergy. One thing - it would be so much better if it were (G/W) in the mana cost to really represent Selesnya.
GameWorldLeader:
Uh... a 3/3 isn't really "huge" for 3 mana, considering it exactly passes the vanilla test. The card is ok, but hardly undercosted - firebreathing a Huge Creature does not make.
willows:
I feel like the downside isn't actually a downside. Your opponent needs 13 power on the board to deal with it, and if they do then you basically wiped their board for 7 mana. In fact, the least impressive mode is probably the 7 mana 13/13, which compared to just about anything - Kalonian Behemoth, for example - is probably a little strong.
Asrama:
Damn, that's a serious blowout - flip it to get a huge creature that also makes your other guys unblockable or able to block. The flavour of a wingless dragon is really cool (although they're 'supposed' to be called Wurms...). It doesn't really feel like Tarkir though, besides the 'scale' in the name.
GraveTitan15:
Hah - this is nice, in the vein of Hunted creatures. The flavour is nice. Thing is, I don't think a 0/12 is really worth giving your opponent two Typhoid Rats, considering things like Tree of Redemption and Indomitable Ancients exist at just one mana more. Maybe if it had some power it would be ok.

NVRBLND: Very cool card. It feels balanced because of the drawback but could finish your opponent off by itself with a haste enabler by turn 5, even if it put all the counters on itself. With some good clearing removal it may be a little too powerful. Nevertheless, the flavor is great and the card is very interesting.
SNL: I like the design of this card. I still haven't figured out how strong it could be in a constructed format. Obviously a GREAT card to have against a pure control deck, but there's so many situations where it's a dead draw. I do like the flavor though and I think it's an appropriate power level for its drawback.
Jimmy Groove: I don't know that this could ever be a playable constructed card, but given that humans are the most used subtype in MTG, it's got a shot. I can think of plenty of token and creature heavy decks that could power this thing through early. I think this flavor is very nice. I would love to have a few copies to make a fun deck built around it.
Ninja Caterpie: Nice card. It's cool because it varies greatly in power level between formats. In modern or eternal formats it will cost at least 6 or 7 cmc every time but in current standard it could come out for 4 or 5 depending on dual lands versus basic lands. Also fits nicely in the Alara flavor. Could probably be an uncommon in rarity.
AliasBot: Fits really well in elf tribal decks which already pump out a good number of green elves. The drawback is good enough to make it fair but it is still very powerful. Now an interesting question would be does the mechanic force you to use convoke to summon it or could you use something like Manaweft Sliver in combination with non-green slivers to summon it? That could change the strategy to get it on the battlefield without restricting yourself to 4 green creatures.

This just doesn't read like a Dragon to me, because it's trying to buck all the Dragon conventions — it's monogreen, it doesn't fly (and actively hates on fliers), and instead of feeling fierce and dangerous, it comes across as defensive and bitter. The mechanics are disjointed — why does it give all your dudes webs and give all your opponent's flying dudes "high flying"? I mean, I understand that "he's being a butt to flying creatures" but it's not clear what that works like in flavor terms. Also this feels like it could be in just any morph environment rather than specifically Tarkir.

I get the flavor here, and in a world other than highly-tribal Lorwyn, I'd be on board with this, but in Lorwyn those tokens need to have a tribally relevant type. Also, the downside here might just be too high. At the end of the day, a high-toughness defender is still just a defender.
4/4
This does a fairly good job of reading like it's from Mirrodin (or NPH, more accurately). I'm a little bit uneasy about how inexpensive it is, especially in a color that can pump out many creatures quickly. Might have fit better in monoblack.
Oran-Rief Lifeforce2GG
Creature- Elemental (Rare)
Creatures you don't control have base power and toughness 8/8.
8/8
This is really interesting. The drawback seems overly punishing, though, and tbh I had to look up what an Oran-Rief was because the mechanics don't reference any Zendikar themes that I knew about. It actually reminded me of the Shadowmoor/Eventide Avatar cycle. I suppose that you could get up to some fun shenanigans in 2HG with this, but its utility in a duel is doubtful to me.
Dominaria, Ape, 7/9

Trample, reach
Smitten Gargantua enters the battlefield tapped and doesn't untap during your untap step.
At the beginning of your upkeep, you may tap an untapped Human creature you control. If you do, untap Smitten Gargantua.
7/9
The card itself is not bad IMO, but I think you fell short of the challenge in a few ways. You chose possibly the worst plane for this challenge (tied with Shandalar, anyway), and that made your job much harder. There's nothing mechanical you can do to tie a card to the most generic plane in the multiverse, and you didn't even try to link it with flavor. What's more, you used a drawback ("do something weird to untap me") that is strongly associated with blue and with artifacts; it doesn't feel very green.

willows: Spiders and Innistrad are an obvious combination, but there's nothing really...spider-y about this card.

I've got tons of art from the web. Want art for a render? PM me! Want to create your own collection? Start here!

Uh, I wasn't the one with the 3-mana 3/3 (or 5 mana 5/3, whichever)? That would be the guy below me...

Sorry for the late and lack of crits; been a rough day. Co-worker's wife suddenly went into labor and I've been having to be the patch that holds the business together.
I understand. However, GraveTitan15 was not one of your 5 to judge. Please resubmit your top 3. Once you have, I will post scores.
At this time all other judgings are final, leaving GameWorldLEader tardy and disqualified from the round.
