Oh, I completely misinterpreted where the hell on the plane I was. Ergo my misunderstanding of the whole situation (Can we get a poorly drawn MS paint map of the regions? That would help)
If they were illusions/ "water guards", combining them seems much less, uh, utterly horrifying. Let's try this again:
Water titans are difficult to create and control, thought Zeryl. Not bad. "Impressive. I would have done it a bit differently, but impressive nonetheless," Zeryl shouted toward the sorceress. His mentor had called him 'the least tactful man I've ever witnessed'. That shone through with his brazen, if feigned, arrogance. "And just exactly what are goblins and dragons doing doing here in Karas?"
Hey, update will be tomorrow. Rough day today. Any last minute changes are possible.

Something I realized is that an easy way to quickly level is to just make a larger amount of low-impact cards. To fix this, I have made a rule called Experience Decay. Here's how it works:
For each spell resolved after the first, you will get 25% less XP that you would otherwise receive for the spell.
For example, if my second card got a 16/20, I would get 12xp (16-25%=12). If my 3rd spell got a 16/20, I would get 9xp (16-25%=12, 12-25%=9)
The party follows the energy the best they can. Assuming it won't change direction, they rest. You both add 2WW to your mana pool.As you get closer, zombies start to surround you. You see a large castle in the distance, and run faster toward it. It is your only hope of refuge for miles. As you approach its doors, the undead close in. Johari and two others slam on the door, trying to get in. The door opens, revealing a large hall. One tall giant with decayed flesh stands at the back wall. A soldier asks "Have you seen a dark energy pass through?"
"The Mistresses will not be disturbed. You shall not pass." The giant replies.
"What are giants doing here?" another soldier asks Nahiri.
"Giants used to be in all regions of Oza. They went extinct centuries ago." another soldier answers.
"Who are your mistresses, soldier?" Nahiri inquires.
"Death, Despair, and Decay are not welcome to visitors. Leave now," the giant says.
"That's going to be hard. Could we stay the night?" Nahiri requests.
"You will see eternal night under Death's control!"

"I got a ride," Nissa says, raising a large, hunched over humanoid made from the earth out of the ground. "Get on."
You get on the elemental.
"This isn't as good as my... friend, but it'll do." Nissa remarks. "Where would you find an army of men?" she asks.
"Kozal?" you reply.
"Yes. How long would it take us to get there?" She asks again.
"A few days, but it's through an undead wasteland."
"It'll do."
On your journey, you find a shade, conversing with a beast.
"There, there, fellow. You'll do well," the shade remarks. Purple magic emits from her hands.
Do you fight the Shade? or let it do its work?
"Make another remark like that and you'll be killed," the sorceress says. "Thanks for taking care of the dragon, by the way. I'm Jasara. I have to go. The merfolk are requesting me. Bye." She leaves to the station at the surface of the water. "Oh, and if you see any more goblins, come down to Varkira, will you?"
A few hours after her departure, a light appears on the horizon. It comes ever closer before entering the water, heading for the Underwater tunnel. Weaker mages enter the water to fix the system. Will you alert Jasara, or try to take care of the flare party yourself?
After waiting, you meditate. Add 1UUU to your mana pool.

More lights. Interesting day this turned out to be. Looking at the nearest clock tower, Zeryl realized he was already late returning to his mentor. He had something he was supposed to be doing, something about a missive, to be delivered? Ah well. He's sure it will come to him eventually. But in for a penny, in for a pound, he thought. Zerl approached the lights.
"Can't be any worse than a dragon," he mused.

The stomping elemental bounced Shalin about quite a bit--she let out a bit of a yelp the first time it threw her off balance, but she appeared to be enjoying herself afterward. "Ever had the chance to ride cheetahback? It's one of the most amazing feelings!" She went on to describe how large some of Halanar's hunting felines were, droning on for perhaps too long.
Then, the shade and beast caught her eye. Not too happy with the magic the shade was working, Shalin urged Nissa to assist her in removing the shade from her sight. Maybe that beast it was trying to control would reduce their travel time significantly. "The quicker we can get through this horrible place, the better."

Sorry for the delay, we needed to discuss our exact strategy here.
Johari grit his teeth as the doors opened and their "hosts" were revealed. Even more zombies...! Did the dark energy already pass through here and corrupt its inhabitants, or was the place they found themselves in always a hotbed for corruption? In any case, they were in their way, and the Rhox had no qualms fighting against the forces of evil.
Before the soldiers could properly arm themselves, Johari stepped forward, a hand held in front of him. He had his eyes set on the zombie with the large axe that was hiding in the back; he didn't have enough power in his body to use the mantra he was about to use on a being this large, and the others were quite clearly defending him. Had he wanted to break through their line to strike at him, he would die before even reaching his target; luckily, not everything a Monk is taught involves their fists or feet.
Focusing, Johari performed a quick kata, showing surprising dexterity for a man as large as he was; at the end of his demonstration, he clapped his hands together, and a thin ray of light shot through the air, skipping past the holes in his enemies' line and striking at the zombie straight in the forehead. Upon being struck, he quickly exploded in a flash of light; but once the explosion dissipated, all could notice that a small wisp of light was left in the zombie's place. With each passing second, the wisp grew slowly in size; the pacifist had never been taught how to permanently disrupt a soul. However, that would not need it, for if his intuition was right, then removing their leader would grant them a significant advantage.

"Hey -- what did you just do? That thing vanished!" Kylie gaped at the small flicker of light that was all that remained where the zombie had once stood. She could feel the foul aura of the place lessening already. "Nahiri, now's our chance! Use your magic to make all our weapons stronger!"
Concentrating on her own blade, Kylie struck it into the earth, where it glowed with silvery light, radiating out into a pool of mana the same color. When her spell was finished, the blade had elongated into a spear, while the pool of mana was now a round, one-handed shield.

Kylie wasn't sure even Nahiri's best soldiers could take them down, not unless they attacked two at a time.

Zeryl touched his hand to the water, and a large beast began to rise from the depths.
"There you are," said Zeryl, as the beast wrenched forth, breaching the surface. The beast opened its maw, and Zeryl stepped inside. Smelled quite a bit, but it was better than holding your breath. Best thing I ever won gambling, Zeryl thought.

The beast gagged and immediately spat Zeryl out, sending him sprawling.
"WORST THING I'VE EVER WON GAMBLING!" Zeryl yelled at the leviathan, which was already slowly disappearing beneath the surface. Brushing off the beads of water from his cloak, Zeryl looked to the distance, where the lights were growing fainter. The tide was coming in, and was already halfway up his shin. his cloak grew heavy from the water being wicked into its fibers. Zeryl walked slowly into the water, more and more slowly with each step as the waves crept up his body. Zeryl took a deep breath and submerged himself. Under the water, he clasped his hands together and an incantation bubbled to the surface. The water above his head swirled, and a vortex began to form. Before long, the vortex had snaked its way around Zeryl, swirling fiercely, leaving a dry column for Zeryl to stand in.
"Well then. Let's see what other nonsense is going on."
Zeryl walked hastily towards the tunnel entrance. Hopefully the water wouldn't get too deep, the incantation was only so strong.

A mere ten days after the Mending, a young knight of Valeron and a young ranger of Eos made a discovery that would change Alara forever.
Kylie realized a second too late that attempting to channel mana into the ground of this desecrated place was a bad idea.
Not only did the shield shatter on impact, but a snarl of negative energy rippled through her, forcing her knees to buckle as she struggled to regain her footing. "Johari, something's wrong!" she shouted, as she moved into position to defend Nahiri. "I... I don't think we can afford to go on the offensive now. "Then brace for their assault," he called out to her. "My technique will hold that monster just a big longer. But we must hold on long enough!"
This certainly wasn't a pleasant situation, but at least Johari felt no hangups about fighting against the forces of the Undead. They were made of pure evil, and he would not allow them to harm anyone.

Despair thought she was so smart. A necrotic basilisk, classic work on her part. However she forgot who slayed these beasts in their first lives.
Basilisks are not difficult to deal with. Their only source of a fatality comes from their venom, which they are immune to. But... they are not entirely immune.
The basilisk stuck, its massive head tearing through Rex's front door. Rex recoiled sideways, avoiding the strike, and pulled a dagger from its sheath.

Bogbrew Potion1B

Destroy target creature with deathtouch. It can't be regenerated. It's chemical stability is questionable at best.
The beast thrashed at the pain of the vial as it was pushed into its gaping wound. The basilisk twisted around and swung it tail into the wooden house, splintering the wood into the air. It's pieces shattered across the rooftops that lined the hillside north of the bay. Rex flew across the room as the basilisk's tail struck across his torso. His body landed against the far wooden wall, and he felt winded but unharmed. Behind him the potion did its magic. The concoction was brilliant at causing hallucinations and comatose states, but when mixed with the right poisons, it becomes the most lethal thing in the multiverse. Rex stumbled upon this discovery after some dealings led to an encounter with a recluse in the deep forests.
The basilisk cried out in pain, the venom in its veins now slowly killing it again. The beast turned towards the moonlight streaming down across the bay. Raising its head one last time towards the stars, it exhaled its final breath in this life. Its lifeless corpse fell across the boardwalk path, smashing against the poorly crafted tiles that patterned roofs of the houses a level below.
Rex sighed. His once decent abode now featured a gaping hole across his living room wall that exposed the hovel to the brisk fall air. He prepared a bag.
"Well, looks like someone will have to pay for this," Rex contemplated before stepping over the serpent corpse and walking along the maze of wooden paths the spread among the town.

"Of course," Zeryl mused. Today had certainly started out fairly mundane, but a lot of cosmic forces appeared to be ganging up on Zeryl today. Zeryl was about halfway through the tunnel when the water level began to rise. Zeryl's spell was weak, he had really only half learned it when continuing his studies on the coast. Zeryl thought that he probably should have kept the spell going in the tunnel, but there wasn't reason to at the time. Hindsight is 20/20. The tunnel was rapidly filling with water, and Zeryl was caught directly in the middle.
"No real reason to turn back now," Zeryl said, his words echoing back at him. A fleeting thought crossed his mind, that maybe he talked to himself more than other people, but it passed quickly, much like the rate at which the water was climbing over Zeryl's chest. Zeryl was cocky, but not so arrogant as to think he could trudge all the way to the other side. He was weary, too, from summoning a leviathan that was more foe than friend and fighting off a dragon. And now the imminent threat of drowning to death in a tunnel with a broken down vehicle. Well, replication mages all start out as artificers anyways. Worth a shot.

Design: It's a cool idea, but blocking with first strike is never that much of a positive. Also, some equip cost would be nice, even if it is exorbitant. 6/10

With the forces of the Corrupted greatly diminished, Shalin rode back to Nissa's side, a bit tired after her assault. "I need a rest, Nissa--think you can hold down the fort?" she asked, somewhat hiding behind Ashaya as she began catching her breath.

Also thanks for the flavor comments--Shalin heavily operates on "rule of cool", her gimmick mostly being domesticating and breaking so-called "unbreakable" creatures.

Varkira. That's certainly one way to get there. Zeryl had never been, but he'd heard stories about the underwater metropolis. He also remembered that that's where Jasara said she was heading. At the very least Zeryl had to let her know that there's another flare cannon brigade somewhere near the surface, if they hadn't been drowned.
"Guess I'll be seeing a lot of her today."
Zeryl had completely forgotten why he left his house in the first place. Couldn't have been too important.

Nodding her assent, Kylie steeled herself for battle as Nahiri granted another boon to the mass of soldiers. Even if she couldn't wield one of Nahiri's mystical blades, she had her own power to wield: her righteousness and conviction that all she did was to bring glory to Honor. She was, after all, chosen by him; chosen, from among all the people of Kozal and beyond, to embark on a quest of his design. And even with her strength diminished, nothing could ever take that away from her.
A golden sheen began to flicker across her armor as she focused, flowing into her legs, up her spine, and through her arms. Where it concentrated most, though, was in her right hand, steadying her grip on her blade. Her vision sharpened, the scars on her face glowing white-hot. Where once had stood formidable zombie warriors were only limp sacks of flesh to her, primed for the slaughter.

Basilisks are not difficult to deal with. Their only source of a fatality comes from their venom, which they are immune to. But... they are not entirely immune.

Bogbrew Potion 1B
Instant (U)

Put a token into play that's a copy of target artifact you control.
"You know what I could use? Another one of those." - Zeryl Anadar
Zeryl waded to the car. With all of his focus, and the water covering his head, he attempted to replicate it. A car appeared next to him. Grabbing the wheel, Zeryl pulled himself inside. Zeryl exhaled the remaining breath in his lungs. Hopefully, this one will work, he thought. Zeryl turned the key.
Legendary Creature - Human Wizard (R)
3U,t: Choose target nonlegendary creature. Creatures enter the battlefield as copies of the chosen creature until end of turn.

Mana : 0
EXP : 24.5/30
Design: I love the idea of this card, but it is considerably worse than both Plummet and Aerial Volley, so I'm worried about this card being underpowered. 7/10
Flavor: This makes sense in every way and looks really cool while doing it. Nice job. 8/10

"Now we only have a cat and a rhino to take care of," Shalin says. "This shouldn't be too hard, right?"
"We have to take care of some force before the executioner comes back, or our work will be for not! Rise, and let's kill some dead men again!" Nahiri says. You are inspired by Nahiri's speech and add 1 to your mana pool. The turn passes, and another Wall of Limbs enters from a window of the room.
Design: It's a cool idea, but blocking with first strike is never that much of a positive. Also, some equip cost would be nice, even if it is exorbitant. 6/10
Flavor: This card has the inkling of a flavor machine, but has many flaws. Firstly, Having a concealed dagger doesn't really ever me you hit first, it just makes your hits better. Secondly, you can pull out a dagger on the offensive, albeit to less effect. The sheathing at the end of turn is a nice touch, though. 5.5/10
11.5/20 (Fail)
Note: Also, I am quite impartial to equipment staying with you post encounter. It's like going by the Scout's trail codes.
Bogbrew Potion
Design: I typically don't like cards that remove cards with evergreen mechanics not emphasized in the block, like deathtouch. It is a cool idea, though, and it seems good at uncommon, albeit extremely narrow. 6/10
Flavor: This flavor... makes sense. The flavor text really saves the card here from being a fail. 6.5/10
12.5/20 (Success)

The basilisk falls, but you know Despair isn't paying her debt. She's probably at Castle Josuna, plotting something. Better go chack on her. Or do you want to take care or Nora first?
Design: This is a basic yet great design. However, I do think it should be UUU or 2UU for its affect. 7.5/10
Flavor: I've always pictured Zeryl as the guy who wants to replicate creatures, but that obviously means he should be able to do the same for nonliving things, too. I find the flavor text to be great as well. 7/10

You make a tunnelcar, and get in. Hoping it works, you pray. It begins running, but starts rumbling after starting. The back explodes, plummeting you toward the ocean floor, when you are miraculously sucked into the merfolk city, a new sight to your eyes. You could do so much in this city! So what will you do first?

Also thanks for the flavor comments--Shalin heavily operates on "rule of cool", her gimmick mostly being domesticating and breaking so-called "unbreakable" creatures.

Zeryl had completely forgotten why he left his house in the first place. Couldn't have been too important.
