I think I have an interesting idea for a game. The idea is, to take an existing magic card, for example: Ninja of the Deep Hours, and turn it into a new card by removing one word. For example, that card up there would become:
Rules:
To avoid redundancy, cards you use must have a three-word minimum: Glint Hawk Idol could be these - "Glint Hawk", "Hawk Idol", "Glint Idol".
Long creature card names could be used for this, it may make for some interesting cards, I.E. "Name, Frequenter of the Washroom" or something similar.
If something has a hyphen in it, I.E. Hoard-Smelter Dragon, treat the words separated by the hyphen as separate words.
Some cards have a name pattern like "X of the Y", example: Liege of the Tangle. You may do away with one of the middle words in this instance. It might become "Liege, the Tangle" for example.
Now for your starting card, to start you off, here you go: Goblin War Paint
Each player put X 1/1 red goblin creature tokens onto the battlefield, where X is that player's oppoenent's life totals combined. "Well, you can say what you want about those goblins, but you can't say they suck at war."
Unfortunately, there are not so many cards with three or more words in the name, and even less cards where you can remove one word and it will still make sense.

Up to two target creatures gain skulk until end of turn (they can't be blocked by creatures with greater power)
Draw a card
I like the idea, but I think Raptorchan is right. Perhaps several choices would be better (though as Raptorchan says, most cards don't have that many words in the name). It may also improve the game to be able to take more than one word out: for example to turn Alesha, Who Smiles at Death into Smile at Death.
