Why not just remove "nontoken?" Sure, it's probably broken with some card, but at best, you're rocking a three card combo to win the game which really isn't that bad considering one card costs 5 already (effigy, a scarecrow to begin with, your busted combo card of choice). This would free up the card to be a bit more fun and might even make it competitive.

Remove "nontoken" and you've got infinite withering chump blockers at worst, and an army of 1/1 withering tokens that gets bigger if your opponent ever attacks or blocks one of them at best.

"I am confident that if anyone actually
penetrates our facades, even the most
perceptive would still be fundamentally
unprepared for the truth of House Dimir."
Could this be worded as "Scarecrows recieve damage as though its source had Wither"? That seems a lot cleaner than the wording on the card. Just a thought.
Thats how it originally was worded, then someone changed it. Despite my complaining, it was never changed back.
At least they heard me when I said change it to non-token.

And I am glad you said non-token. Having it say just creature might be fair....at 7-8 mana. Still, the card's a lot more powerful than people are giving it credit for, and I think it was actually costed right. Not bad, but not great.
