I love the card, though I still don't like the rarity. I wonder, is finishing the card in a month really that important? I ask because the rarity of this card was decided for us, and while it's not that big a deal, it would have been nice to have a poll for that too. I understand we can't run a poll for everything since we'll run out of time in the month, but I was wondering if that would be an option. (running over a month to have polls for everything).

"In the beginning, MTG Salvation switched to a new forum format.
This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move."
It was at that moment that I realized: I'm kinda just making these things up. We can just write the rules the way we want them to work. People will have fun, and people will get it.

I love this card. It's entirely unique and fun; great mechanic. Whoever thought of that name? Awesome job! I don't know why we haven't seen a card with this name.
EDIT: I just noticed the flavor text. Possibly the coolest flavor text I've seen since King Cheetah's! Who thought of this sweet flavor text? Piar?
Should be a sorcery imo. I see absolutely no need for it to be an instant.
But I think they made the right call to make it a rare.
No other rarity would make sense for this card.
(It's not epic enough to be mythic and too narrow and complicated to be an uncommon.)
But when they have the choice, people often tend to give a card a lower rarity than it should have, just because they like it and want it to be frequent.
I agree, and we have Master Warcraft as precedent for a similar effect. I don't think Incite War would be printed as a common under current philosophy, being complicated, a global effect, and a possibility for a blowout.
I'm glad it turned out well any suggestions on how to make it usable in casual play?
Fumiko the Lowblood? Really, this seems useful in just about any chaos multiplayer game, and especially devious in Star (force someone to help eliminate one of your opponents and keep the pressure off yourself). Powerstone Minefield and Caltrops set up punishment, Righteous Cause and Patron of the Kitsune let you benefit, and Impulsive Maneuvers could be fun, just looking at "whenever a creature attacks" cards.

I commented on the rarity above, honestly I feel that the YMTC guidance committee is qualified to make an executive decision about rarity in most cases, saving the trouble of a poll, but it should certainly be open for discussion, even if we don't require a full poll (most likely after the mechanic is decided).

That's why Piar went to the trouble of linking each previous thread in the OP: you can see that yewlas made the original suggestion for flavor and PanchoPonceN modified it slightly in the Flavor Text Submission round, for example

I was meaning how do i get it in a physical form, though the shenanigans this card can cause do seem quite promising

I once farted during the final match for prizes at an FNM. It was a tense moment, everything was quiet, control vs control, I was about to mana leak, thought about it.. and farted. Then mana leaked.
Because in multiplayer it allows you to pick your targets strategically.
I think it's 100x better at instant speed than sorcery speed. At sorcery, they have time to prepare and at instant, there's no way to stop it if you drop it on them during the pre-combat step. I think at 1RR, it would be good at Sorcery because you can still use it in a duel efficiently (force them to tap out their guys by attacking or using abilities, or force them to play during pots combat main to have blockers. Either way, they're tapping out of creatures or tapping lands). At instant speed, I think at 1RR it can be a bit devastating. In a duel, not so much. In chaos, maybe.
I still think this card is entirely too powerful, especially for its mana cost.
Compare it to Master Warcraft which only affects 1 player, and you can't choose who that player attacks. This affects two players, and essentially board wipes them. This is insanely powerful.
The art for that is not attributed properly; I can't remember the artist and I'm away from the book it first appeared in, but it's from the D&D sourcebook "City of Stormreach".
I can think of some fun interactions with this card in multiplayer commander. Get a Magosi, the Waterveil and Seedborn Muse or something of that sort and take yourself out of the game until one of your opponents kills the other one.

One thing Master Warcraft does (that this doesn't do) is force creatures to block, which is a pretty relevant difference in my eyes. I would have been more comfortable with it at cmc 4, but if you look at the poll we are in the minority.

When we found it we were somewhat suspicious. We went with attributing it to what our source said, but if we get the artist's name we will certainly update.

So both the art and the flavor text reference the D&D world Eberron? Nice touch.

I agree whole-heartedly. People keep calling this a blowout but I think they're mistaken, in that there is nothing to stop the forced players from "taking it on the chin."
If anything, its just not good for the first player, in that he is forced to attack and the second player gets to pick and choose how to block in order to minimise his losses.

I believe this should be a sorcery. I think it groks better that way, and the strategic gains from making it an instant are really minimal. Cards that can be sorceries and still accomplish their purpose should be sorceries, and I think this is an example of that.

I agree! In fact it even started out that way, but there was a vote to switch them (to my dismay)
