Does the following wording work? or do I need to repeat the "Where X is the sacrificed creature's toughness." line twice?
G: Sacrifice another creature: If the sacrificed creature is an Ooze. Put X +1/+1 counters on CARDNAME. Otherwise put X 1/1 green Ooze creature tokens onto the battlefield, where X is the sacrificed creature's toughness.
G: Sacrifice another creature: If the sacrificed creature is an Ooze, put X +1/+1 counters on CARDNAME. Otherwise, put X 1/1 green Ooze creature tokens onto the battlefield. X is equal to the sacrificed creature's toughness.
The value of X only needs to be stated once, because its all contained in one ability, so you can just tack that line onto it at the end I'm fairly sure.
I like "Sacrifice a creature with toughness X" for abilities like this since the value of X is locked in as you sacrifice the creature anyway. That is not a standard wording though. The closest to that in real Magic was the alternate costs in the Blazing Shoal-cycle.
