I understand Wizards had a grand creature update a long time ago and now they have stabilized the naming of creature types. I wonder what expansion did they start making the creature types consistent and thus no more errata. Or alternatively, what is the newest creature that still has a creature type errata?
I'd be interested in knowing this too. I think some lords had their creature types and rules text changed like Lord of Atlantis for example. Not sure when that happened.
Depends on how you want to count. Glint Hawk Idol has errata to ensure that it turns into a Bird, but that's because the creature type was accidentally left out when the set was sent to printing.
Walking Atlas has errata because they intended it to be an artifact creature, but it was printed as just a creature. It looks kinda crap, it would be cool if it was possible to get one that had the proper text. This was long after the big creature type update happened, I don't know when that was.

The Grand Creature Type Update was part of the normal Oracle update in Oct. '07, with the release of Lorwyn - nearly 1200 cards were changed. (Worldwake was released Feb. '10)
With the release of Morningtide, 90 cards were re-updated to fix mistakes from the original update. At least one of the affected creature types (Gremlin) was changed again with Mirrodin Besieged (Phyrexian Gremlins started as Gremlin, then became Ouphe, and now it's Gremlin again thanks to Flensermite). Summoner's Egg became an Egg with the GCTU, then swapped to Construct with M11.

Lightning Bolts don't kill creatures. State-based actions kill creatures.
