Does anybody have a good system for doing this? Whenever I try to double sleeve I can't get the card with the KMC perfect fit on it into the Dragonshield sleeve. The KMC sleeve always slides up on the card.

I only do double sleeving for my all foil decks, with KMC Perfect Fit sleeves in Ultra Pro sleeves. Works perfectly and I'm very happy with this combination.
Speaking of not needing to double sleeve all cards, what about double sleeving only like the rare and more valuable cards in a deck?
They would need time for you to flatten them down and press the extra air out. But how noticeable do you think they would be from the single sleeved cards in a deck that would be considered as marked cards?

noticeable enough that it's definitely not be allowed. Especially as it's not random and is a very intentional pattern (oh, it's a thicker card, must be my Jace TMS, because that's the only card in here worth enough to double sleeve!).

Take a card that's not double-sleeved and put it in at the same time as your double-sleeved card. Once both are in, just pull the extra card out.
Is there much awkwardness with using perfect-fit sleeves on Alpha cards due to the different cut?
The corner radius is different.
The height and width of the cards is the same: 2.5"x3.5".
Any sleeves that work on current cards will work on all cards.
Just FYI, KMC perfect fits won't go inside the cheap Ultra Pro sleeves, there's too much friction and you cannot get them in. The higher quality Ultra Pro sleeves with art on the back are ok, but it takes a bit of force. For best results, KMC sleeves work well with KMC perfect fits (for some strange reason).
Saw a guy who triple-sleeved his EDH deck. Thing was MASSIVE. Not sure how he managed it.
Kmc, Kmc pf, and hard sleeves. Do it. Nothing like a 4 foot tall edh deck.
I was thinking that it might not be a good idea placing the Perfect fit sleeve upsidedown.
If you place a Perfect Fit sleeve upsidedown on a card and then place the card into a Dragon Sleeve, the bottom of the card will be facing the open part of the Perfect sleeve thus allowing the bottom of the card to contact the Dragon Sleeve directly and causing the black border of the bottom of the card to decay (the black will chip away, lose a crisp black border) over time.

if you do it the other way (top/top) , then debris can get in and cause more damage...
Do the KMC Perfect Fits help protect from bends more than just a Dragonshield sleeve? If so I need to invest in some for my Legacy Merfolk deck. 4 FoW, 4 Wasteland and 4 Mutavault is a lot of money and I'm paranoid about damaging them.

Bends? Not really. It makes the card slightly stiffer, but if you're looking to prevent damage you should be double sleeving anyways to avoid dirtying. Also consider how you shuffle/look at your hand/draw your cards/etc. A lot of players have fidgeting habits that bend their cards.
Actually don't like dragonshields as much with perfect fit as kmc matte sleeves. Dragonshields are noticeably bulkier with the double sleeves than kmc.
I recently double sleeved my deck with Ultra Pro Matte and KMC Perfect Fit...works just fine. I had to push them down with the thumb a little bit and that can wrinkle the sleeve a little bit, but none of my cards were bent in the process.
The catch: the package on the Ultra Pro Mattes were labeled 66mm x 91mm...but these sleeves were slightly wider than the supposedly identical UP Mattes I was replacing! I guess I got lucky with my screwed up sleeves order this time, I prefer Ultra Pro Sleeves...when they match. I once ordered two same color Ultra Pro Mattes an got two different sleeve lengths (both advertized and labeled the same). I'm also bothered by their constant revision of the opacity of the card window...I don't like having some sleeves that are glossy and scratched while others are cloudier and build up dirt. < I prefer the latter over the former. Scratches cannot be solved with rubbing alcohol, which I might as well be soaking my legacy deck in now that it is double sleeved.

I use these for all my decks too
The guy in the video stated that you are not allowed to double sleeve cards in tournaments. Is that true? Why would that be a rule?
This is untrue, as long as all of your cards are double-sleeved

I like matte sleeves more than these glossy ones, but that's just personal preference.
im returning it tomorrow.. hoping to get a refund.
