A quick glance of the majority of 'value' cards shows that the Eventide Lands at a little under 50% of the Eventide Price, I've been seeing Jaces around 80$ to 90$ but haven't fully delved into the other reprint prices.
I was looking at the prior EV listed the box at around 235$ or so. Any updates on that calculation given the current prices?
At some point in the next month or two these two sets are going to meet. Iconic can be had for as low as 135 USD shipped. A25 maybe around 170 at this time. My advice save yourself 30 to 40 bucks a box and wait a month or two. There is no where to go on EV for A25 right now than down if you are looking at straight financial. I'll let others buy and take the depreciation hit and snap up singles as they fall in the meantime.

Jace is also not doing anything spectacular in Modern, despite LOTS and LOTS of people trying. I suspect it will continue to fall back and settle at the $60-70 range. It might hit the $50s range again, depending on how consistently mediocre it stays in Modern.

Agreed. But when that first deck that takes some SCG Open or Grand Prix somewhere in the near future he will probably spike again as all the lemmings jump in a line to net-deck.

In all honesty I found the MTG Goldfish data on the overall cost of modern itself to be alarming. The entire format has depreciated significantly overall, but the cards that people want and look at every day haven't budged enough to really get people into the format. It's not going to matter how cheap the format gets if the one card someone needs is still sitting with a big fat price tag attached.
In any case, I think this set may survive off of one factor no one is really looking at: The foils. A lot of these cards never had a foil printing until now, so the foil multiplier on these particular cards will be higher than normal.
Holy smokes, just noticed that Street Wraith has a value at uncommon that is actually greater than the value on the majority of the mythics and rares. Man, if someone wanted cards from this they might as well just buy all the singles they want because even at the lowest pre-order price per box you'll end up with the majority of the cards of interest in playsets.
1. (Ravnica Allegiance): You can't keep a good esper control deck down... Or Wilderness Reclamation... or Gates...
2. (War of the Spark): Guys, I know what we need! We need a cycle of really idiotic flavor text victory cards! Jace's Triumph...
3. (War of the Spark): Lets make the format with control have even more control!

I posted a thing about this a few months ago, I think it still holds true.

Only the rares and mythic really matter in this department, very rare exceptions ignored.
----
And the sad part about the mythics is, almost all of them have a foil version already and cost not much even:
Jace (from the vault)
Ensnaring Bridge (masterpiece)
Chalice of the Void (masterpiece)
Armageddon (from the vault)
Akroma White and Red (both From the Vault)
Vendilion Clique (Judge Promo , other master sets)
Phyrexian Obliterator (cool, but again, the market for the people that want this card is pretty much strictly casual level)
Doomsday (cool, but over all worth almost nothing)
Master of the Wild Hunt & Tree of Redemption (pretty much to be ignored, nobody gives anything about these cards and especially not mythic foil versions of them)
Anima & Prossh , pretty much the only "relevant" foil versions for people that want them for EDH.
----
The rares are also not that crazy for foils.
A lot of them are again non-foil versions of From the Vault / Judge Promo cards, which just devalues them a lot, as you have a product that kinda caps the price of them.
They dont even have a different artwork ... they are just completely redundant.
----
So we are left with commons and uncommons.
The big ones of them like Streeth Wraith are expensive, mainly as its one of the cards that see play a lot in modern decks, especially now with the BR deck and the like.
The Elemental Blasts "maybe". But its just not going to do anything.
Master sets have a lot MORE foils than regular sets, so they arent as rare anyway.

Total set value has dropped significantly and will continue to do so as more boxes are cracked.
As a point of interest Iconic Massturds has been creeping up recently.
