Not sure if I ask this at Magic General or Modern, but feels like a Standard players can answer this better... so here goes. If you exile a creature from opponent's yard with The Scarab God, 2UB ability.. what do you use to represent the 4/4 zombie token? Use normal zombie tokens and mark it as 4/4 with dice... or...? Going to buy 2 scarab god when he rotates out of Standard, and would be helpful to know how people in Standard do it. Thanks.

A lot of people remove the card from the GY and pull it halfway out of it's sleeve to put on the field. Otherwise they put the physical card and mark it with Eternalize marker.
I pull it halfway out of the sleeve (I double sleeve). I know a guy who uses clear toploaders with "Zombie" & "4/4" written on their respective corners to place on top of creatures reanimated with Scarab God as well

What is an "eternalize marker"? Sorry, I don't play standard and have no idea what it is, but it sounds like a good method. Pulling my own card halfway out a sleeve is fine for me, but an opponent might be offended / angered if I suggest to pull their card halfway out the sleeve.. so I won't be trying that one. @_@

Hmm, the toploader method sounds good and easy to do. Thanks.

It's just a piece of paper with eternalize written on it. WotC printed cards during amonkhet that had eternalize, embalm, exert and such on them you could use to look a bit more official, but really just a paper with eternalize works.
I just use the full red eternalize token, the one with the punch outs, full card and put it behind the creature. It's about the easiest way I find without having to do much sleeving/unsleeving.

Amonkhet and Hour of Devastation packs could contain these punch cards in the token slot. They were perforated, so you could tear them apart, and each had two -1/-1 counters and two brick counters. The Amonkhet one had two Embalmed markers and one Exerted marker, and the Hour of Devastation one had two Exerted markers and one Eternalized marker.
Again, thanks for the suggestions everyone. Unfortunately, the store where I get cards don't sell booster packs... so it's not easy for me to get the red punch cards with Eternalize Marker. I'll try to ask the Standard players in our facebook group if they still have one of those.

Yep. An aside: I still use black dice with white pips to represent -1/-1 counters.
The other option is what I've always done with clone tokens, just snip an index card to the proper size and fill it out.

Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!

You could make your own markers, just use an old cereal box and a sharpie
