A Snow-Covered Basic has the Supertype "Snow" but, more importantly, it also has the Supertype "Basic" which is what 3 of those cards care about. A Snow Covered Forest acts just like a normal Forest in these cases as it is still a basic land. In the Elder's case, it just cares that it has the subtype "Forest" which means something like Temple Garden would also work.
I got confused after seeing the card into the north. I thought into the north was needed to fetch snow lands.
A basic snow Forest card (such as Snow-Covered Forest) is no less a Forest card than Temple Garden is, and is no less a basic land card than Wastes is.
1. Can snow-covered forest be fetched by Viridian Emissary?
2. Do snow-covered forest add to the power toughness of dungrove elder?
3. Can snow covered forest be fetched by spells like rampant growth and harrow?
