So say I've made a bunch of Sculpture tokens with Doomed Artisan, if the Doomed Artisan leaves the battlefield the Sculptures can then attack and block, correct?
Doomed Artisan's first ability is a static ability (C.R. 604.1); its effect lasts only while Doomed Artisan is on the battlefield (C.R. 611.3b, 113.6, 604.2). Therefore, once Doomed Artisan leaves the battlefield, that effect ends and won't keep Sculptures "you control" from attacking or blocking anymore. Compare this to the case when Doomed Artisan's triggered ability creating a Sculpture token adds the ability "This creature can't attack or block". See also this thread and this thread.
Note, however, that a creature can't attack unless its controller has controlled that permanent continuously since their most recent turn began (C.R. 302.6).
Thanks. I mostly figured as much, but....
I was just asking in case I missed something somewhere and Doomed Artisan's static ability wasn't somehow imparted on the tokens.
Lately I find that I gloss over new cards a bit much and often miss some of the finer points.
And yes, I do understand how "Summoning Sickness" works, LOL.
