With the new set Throne of eldraine we get the mechanic Adventure. As i understand it, if a spell is played for its advenure it will be the adventure's type on the stack.
Possibility storm states the card that gets played has to "share a type"
1) Which card gets played?
2)If the card has adventure does the creature or adventure get played
3) what happens if I cast Merchant of the Vale as a creature instead?
Edit: added instant to cards on library and changed wording of 3rd question from played to cast
Notes: Fixed a card name for tags to work. -Moderator
When Possibility Storm's ability resolves, if the spell it refers to is an Adventure spell, the player who cast that spell exiles it, then exiles cards from the top of their library until they exile a card that shares a card type with that spell (C.R. 608.2g). If a card exiled this way from the library is an adventurer card, its Adventure characteristics are ignored for this purpose, since it doesn't have those characteristics while it's in a player's library or in exile (C.R. 715.4, 400.1).
In general, if an effect allows you to cast an adventurer card, you may cast that card either normally or as an Adventure (C.R. 715.3). The exception given in C.R. 715.3d applies only if an Adventure spell was exiled as it resolved due to the Adventure replacement effect, not if an Adventure spell or adventurer card was exiled by any other means.
Edit: Can you demonstrate what happens in the example to remove any confusion?
In your above scenario, you will exile the mentionned cards from the top of your library until you exile Thrill of Possibility, since the spell you cast to trigger Possibility Storm is Haggle, an instant, and Thrill of Possibility is the first instant card you hit. You may cast Thrill of Possibility (provided you pay the additional cost of discarding a card), then you put all other exiled cards, including Merchant of the Vale, on the bottom of your library in a random order.

As an example: With the card Possibility Storm is on the field I play "Haggle" from the card Merchant of the Vale and the top five cards of my library (in order of how they are revealed) are Mountain, Embereth Shieldbreaker, Rimrock Knight, Claim the Firstborn, and Thrill of Possibility
