As the first chapter in the saga states, I may put an elf card from the graveyard onto the battlefield and Elvish Promenade is a tribal Elf sorcery, that makes it a valid target for the ability.
My question is, does this make the sorcery spell trigger (creating an elf token for each elf I have)?
Or does the sorcery just instantly go back to the graveyard without doing anything as it is not a permanent and was not cast?
My group and I discussed this for a bit and did some googling but were not able to come up with a definitive answer.
Any assistance would be great, as we stopped the game after that and the answer to whether or not I created 28 elf tokens dictates whether I won or lost that game.
Recently in a game, I played Harald Unites the Elves.
In my graveyard at the time was Elvish Promenade.
