I know that Fist of Suns doesn't let you pay WUBRG for flashback costs or for spells with morph cast face down, since those specify a total cost to pay. However, retrace's rules text specifies an additional cost. Does this mean that I could cast a spell with retrace for "WUBRG, discard a land card" if I control a Fist of Suns?

Yes. Retrace gives you the possibility of casting the spell from an alternate zone, with an additional cost, but it's not an alternative cost, which means you may pay an alternative cost provided by something else instead of the mana cost of the spell. You may pay WUBRG thanks to Fist of Suns instead of the full seven mana to cast Call the Skybreaker from your graveyard, for example.
I'm a former judge (lapsed), who keeps up to date on rules and policy. Keep in mind that judges' answers aren't necessarily more valid than those of people who aren't judges; what matters is we can quote the rules to back up our answers. When in doubt, ask for such quotes.

Both flashback and morph represent alternative ways to cast the spell, and the Comprehensive Rules entry clearly indicates these are alternative costs. Since Fist of Suns ability allows you to pay an alternate cost to casting a spell, you can't apply it if you've already chosen to cast the spell via flashback or morph (as only one alternate cost can apply).

Yes, that's possible. You can choose to apply the alternate cost generated as a result of Fist of Suns, then the additional cost is applied in order to determine the total cost to cast the spell.
