I cast a Mimeoplasm targeting Phantasmal Image and an 8/8 creature in a graveyard. Phantasmal Image resolves and copies a Cloned Angel of Despair. If I cast Phyrexian Metamorph copying my 'Mimeoplasm,' does it enter the battlefield as a Mimeoplasm, Image, Clone, or Angel of Despair?
This happened to me and I assumed it entered as an Angel of Despair. Everyone at the table agreed, but I wanted to clarify. I'm also curious if there is a mnemonic or other quick way to remember the order and priority of copy effects.
I have a Mimeoplasm copying a Strangleroot Geist with zero +1/+1 counters on it. It dies. Will I choose a new creature from a yard to copy when my Mimeoplasm returns to play? Will it have X+1 +1/+1 counters on it, where X is the power of the second creature I exile? Does the answer change if Mimeoplasm is my general?
I encountered a similar situation with Phantasmal Image, and I assumed yes and yes, but I'm not sure if being a general would change this.

You get a copy of an angel of despair. When working out what you will end up with you take the base card mimeoplasm as modified by any other copy effect like its own ability / phantasmal image

Presuming Mimeoplasm has no +1/+1 counters on it from any source when it leaves the battlefield and undying triggers to bring it back it will gain an additional +1/+1 counter due to the undying ability in addition to those it would normally get.

The Mimeoplasm doesn't target anything, and phantasmal image isn't resolving in this scenario. Your mimeoplasm will be an angel of despair with illusion as an additional type, the image downside, and 8 +1/+1 counters.
If you copy it with a metamoprh, you'll get an angel of despair with both the artifact type and the illusion creature type and downside. No +1/+1 counters.
Yes, if your geist-plasm undies, it will come back with X+1 counters, exiling two new creatures.
If mimeoplasm is your general, you have the option of choosing to put it in your command zone when it dies, preventing undying from triggering undying at all.
