Well, it's technically back by the time the removal would resolve, but in the meantime, the removal has lost track of it's target when it changed zones, so it fizzles.
That assumes you're talking about targeted removal though. Against something like Diabolic Edict or a Wrath of God type effect, Cloudshift will not save it.
When a creature leaves the battlefield an then return, it's a new object.
So if any of your creature have a target spell targeted at it, once it leaves the battlefield and return, it will no longer be the same one as the one the spell is targeting, so the spell will frizzle when tries to resolve.
This is only valid for targeted spells that is targeting the creature. So things like board wipe and spells targeted at you such as Bonfire of the Damned or Diabolic Edict
