Ramaz seems to be a lackey of Nicol Bolas but was totally absent in the last blocks and storylines.
There are rumors about a norse themed block in autumn and there is already Kaldheim (which has a connection to Ramaz). Could he be the next antagonist?
I feel like Ramaz would have been a better Bolas minion Gruul guildmaster than Domri. In fact I think introducing the minions of Bolas prior to them taking over the guilds was a mistake. Introducing them at the same time as they are introduced to the Ravnicans would make them feel more like usurpers coming out of the left field.
I don't know if they ever consider ramaz canon anymore. I mean, he was in one game (duel of planeswalkers) got defeated by chandra, was introduced as a "why" chandra had to stole the scroll. He was probably a mean to the whole "Sarkhan removing hinself from the past story" more like a Sarkhan the mad double, but i don't think they are going down with this explanation on who took sarkhan's place as minion of bolas.

He would have, hypothetically, but Domri makes more sense from a narrative perspective. Essentially, Domri is the "kid who brings about the Apocalypse" trope. Of course, to do so, you have to die.
Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!
Domri became the "kid who brings about the apocalypse" trope precisely with the advent of the Bolas arc finale. Nothing before indicated he'd fit that role. The only ties were 1) he's Gruul and 2) the Gruul (or one aprt of them) believes in the raze boar that brings about the end raze. Domri made as much narrative sense as anyone within the Gruul, plus "the kid that brings about the apocalypse" does not fit as guildleader, which is what Bolas needed. Domri could have been a chaotic neutral wildcard, summoning the raze boar to fight Bolas, but ending up sabotaging the heroes in the resulting destruction.
I stand by my "the audience hated him, so kill him so he'll suddenly be sympathetic" explanation, though.

Does Mark even know who Ramaz is. Mostly Ramaz struck me as in the same situation as Vronos.

I did ask about how Ramaz fits within all this a few days ago, but got no reply from Doug and Mark.
Well if the thing is gonna happen soon or in a set they are working (like a set 2 years in the future) then they prob can’t tell. But remember they get a lot of messages every day and it could just be a case of them not being able to handle them all.
I too had thought that Ramaz was supposed to be the replacement for Sarkhan defection, since both are shamans. Alas, this wasn't meant to be.
At least Vronos, another DotP only character, got to be included in a short story.
Maro hasn't mentioned Ramaz in 4 years, which is a bad sign. It means the players aren't asking him about Ramaz often in the last 4 years. Though 4 years ago he ranked 9th for planeswalkers we know of and want to see. I'm guessing he was just never really popular enough to make the same jump the other duels planeswalkers did.

Prabably not being a player character was the principal factor for his low popularity. If I'm not mistaken the other Duels-first PW were Nissa (albeit in her GB elven suprematist form), Kiora (at that time called Kiora Atua), Ral Zarek and, in a sense, Vronos (unnamed until Magic Duels).

Plus, the fans hated Domri. And, going through our superhero comic checklist, you know what that means...

Didn't know this was a thing.
