Since we discovered RTR is the next block, I've been ruminating about what we might see, and a certain dragon we KNOW we will see.
RTR has a multicolour focus. Is it feasible to suspect that a set gimmick is ex-guilds allying with other colours and/or colour pairs? This would allow for multicolour shenanigans, including three-, four- and five-color cards that build upon an established concept? (such as Izzet science progressing towards, say :symb::reanimating the dead, :symw::monitoring Ravnica's citizens in a eu- or dystopian way, or :symg::naturopathy. Makes me wonder how they will alter the established card frame and/or mana symbols this time.)
While I'm on the topic of Izzet, I feel it's appropriate to ask about its Parun. Is there any inkling that his character would progress towards white alignment? Because this not only fits (with a multicolour block in general and my idea specifically) but would provide an interesting foil to Bolas, whether Niv turns out to be a 'walker, planar voyeur or time travelling phone box.

Latest proof this forum is a trashfire:
Your authoritarianism will be the reason the company suffers another 60M in losses.
Niv-Mizzet is far, far from the color white. He's basically in love with himself. The only reason he created a guild was because he thought it would be entertaining. He's not concerned with law, order, morality, justice, community, or anything else that white cares about.
If he were to branch into a third color, it would be black, due to the aforementioned narcissism.
He's honestly pretty similar to Bolas in a lot of ways. The biggest difference is that his emphasis is mostly just on "genius" rather than "evil genius." As long as he's entertained and his intellect is stimulated he's far less likely to crush and eat you for the fun of it (though he'll likely do that if you bore him).

Or if you offend him. Or question him, which is tantamount to offending him.
That is quite subjective. And if he was truly smart, he wouldn't kill those who question him.
Why wouldn't he torch them? He is a DRAGON after all, besides by torching all the clever ones, he's making sure that he stays the smartest being on the plane.
Also, the above post made me "LOL" really loud in the university library, it made people looked at me funny.

Because he is invalidating his own intelligence by resorting to crude methods.
Once again "Dragon".
You can't apply normal means of "sophistication" equated with intelligence by humans to a Dragon.
Gotta remember another fact: He hunted down the entirety of his OWN SPECIES so he would remain the most powerful and most intelligent being. It's like reverse eugenics.

and there have been several instances where he immolated people who thought they were excessively clever.
