I have to say that it would be incredibly BORING in my opinion to have back to back blocks dealing with Eldrazi. It seems so uninventive to make the cause of everything simply Eldrazi again. Not saying I don't like the Eldrazi, but I'd like to have some space before bringing them back into the lore and sets.
I know our wiki isn't a great source, but, the things being described on Zendikar are pretty on par with what it says about Emrakul, the Titan of Corruption. Tentacles are specifically mentioned as one of the manifestations of her impact. She's also the one behind things like Eldrazi Conscription.
Edit: Part of the problem is that the Eldrazi have terrible inconsistent flavor. On the one hand they're basically mindless beasts that eat planets. On the other hand they do things like convert cultists, posses people and **** with mortal minds, and warp whole races like the Vampires of Zendikar. I'm going to hazard a guess that Emrakul is going to get a vastly different interpretation with much more... I don't know, rationality? Rather than just a ceaseless hunger or twelve minutes of screen time, I think she'll be portrayed as having actual goals beyond "eat things."
Why does everyone keep using the word 'consume' when talking about Emrakul. That's not what she does at all...right?
Do all three titans (still) consume now? Yes, I'm ignoring Annhilator becuase that was before the 'current' soryline/canon where they decided to grant each Titan a specific 'schtick'. Ulamog consumes. Kozilek warps reality. Emrakul warps biology.
Well all 3 titans do consume they just have special properties..ulamog consumes and converts to energy hence the processors..kozilek warps reality and emrakul corrupts biology. But they all do feed on anything that comes into direct contact.
I would LOVE to see Emrakul pop up in a new Kamigawa block, where the plane responds with Kaiju and other things that emulate more modern Japanese Pop Culture, rather than classical Japanese lore.
YES i love the idea of Emrakrul on kamigawa for some reason i don't know why but it just feels right

Cubing in Indianapolis...send me a PM!!
1. it took three oldwalkers to trap the Eldrazi Titans on Zendikar.
2. Only two of them are represented on Innistrad currently.
what are the odds that the clues could be referring to Ugin himself?
I know it's farfetched, but I was just wondering.
EDIT: I posted this in the wrong thread. how the heck did THAT happen?!?!?
