Akki Raider -
Creature - Goblin Warrior (U)
Whenever a land is put into a graveyard from play, Akki Raider gets +1/+0 until end of turn.
2/1
Patron of the Akki -
Legendary Creature - Spirit (R)
Goblin offering (You may play this card at any time you could play an instant by sacrificing a Goblin and paying the difference in mana costs between this and the sacrificed Goblin. Mana costs include color.)
Whenever Patron of the Akki attacks, creatures you control get +2/0 until end of turn.
5/5
Both very strong creatures - I'm impressed!
If you take this to other sites, especially without giving credit to MTG Salvation, may your intestines and eyes rot from your body. Just kidding! May you fall into a pit of poisoned spikes. :evil1:
R_E!!! please stop posting cards, im at work, trying to do my taxes!!!
haha, no, just kidding of course. all kidding aside, i love goblins and seriously, im impressed....with a couple more good akkis, perhaps we could see another goblin sligh deck
Meh to the raider, but the patron... its ability could be quite powerful as you can sac the creature that is going to die to help pay for it, getting the most out of your investment. The Nezumi one has Rat offering then, I'm guessing. The question is whether other colors will get patrons.
Akki Raider is interesting. You don't think big red will run it, do you?
Honestly, goblin offering isn't all that good. Most goblins are pretty cheap, so regardless of what you sac, you're still paying four or five mana for him. Maybe it's just me, but I doubt he'll make the cut into extended gobbo sligh...
Akki raider- neato. Works nicely with akki avalanchers and LD. Fun card, in any case.
Patron of the akki- My cycle senses are tingling (who's aren't? The offering mechanic could prove to be very powerful (in casual and limited, at least)
On the other hand, this might not be a cycle, as sac'ing creatures for the equivalent of mana is not a very blue or white thing to do. could be just a red/black, and possibly green mechanic.
whatever, either way, I'll be happy.

Is there any possibility of Goblin Ninjas? Or is that way out of flavor?
I don't really think so......w/r got lots o'sam...green got snakes....so lets leave ninjas to u/b (yea I know blk got one or 2 sam also.......but come on)
This is scary... I can see the Patron being used in T1 and T1.5, in FCG decks. Just for reference, a Seige Gang Commander and one of its tokens can turn into a Patron of the Akki, if Food Chain is out. I have a friend that runs the deck, and I am NOT looking foreward to seeing THAT in the red zone.

Some wonder why I carry 8 decks on me. The answer? I get tired of being boarded against in casual games, and 90% of the players I meet can't beat a jank deck I made to be tokens for a serious one.
Notice that the Patron of the Akki is not a goblin. He is pretty lame in goblin bidding for that reason.
Unless there are a lot more land-saccing abilities, this akki doesn't hold a candle to the likes of the piledriver (as an example). He's an okay guy, and he'll likely go into some sligh-like decks simply because he's an efficient 2/1 for 2, but I don't think he's all that hot.
The Patrons (as shown so far) haven't been particularly constructed-worthy. I suspect the 'offering' mechanic is going to be entirely limited-based, unless there's some ridiculous interaction with them and affinity that I've not seen so far.
The ponza guy is pretty meh, but the Patron... oh heavens!
Offering has grown on me, to tell you the truth, although I don't like ths block's "creature type matters" mechanics showing up so close to Onslaught block.
Both are great in limited, so I'm happy. I really like the patrons. I'll bet you that the cycle of five patrons are the only one that will have the new offering ability.
So let me get this straight.... 5 Bringers and fist of the suns aren't keyworded.
Spiritcraft isn't keyworded.
Web isn't keyworded
"Whenever this comes into play, X", "Whenever this goes into the graveyard from play into play, X", "Whenever this comes into play or leaves play, X" AREN'T KEYWORDED!
"Play this as an instant" isn't keyworded.
The CHUB TOAD ability, though identical to Bushido: 2, ISN'T KEYWORDED
But "Goblin Offering"... that appears on ONE CARD, and "offering" which appears on FIVE, IS?!

WTF?
I'll go out on a limb and say that they are making abilities like this to revisit some day. Opening more design space by make more keywords. Lets see if it works out.
I think it's good they keyworded it. It keeps things "modular". I think they learned from the mistake they made with threshold (which could have just as easily been worded as threshold X)...

I imagine one day we'll see this if WotC keeps keywording everything:
Bogardan Firespew 2R
Instant- Ouch
Burn 3 (Damage 3 (This deals 3 damage to Target (Target is target creature or player.)))
Buyback 4
"Flavor Text 1 (This adds storyline information and/or humor to the card.)."
Honestly I agree that the patron/offering ability doesn't really need a keyword as it is such a limited ability, but whatever.
As for the cards, the Raider sounds ok. Really it's pretty obvious its meant to be paired up with Akki Avalanchers, allowing you to swing with 2 3/1's turn three or something. Whatever. Not real exciting, but it's a decent body in limited.
The patron on the other hand is cool. It's kind of expensive, but it's a game winner basically...I doubt it has any place in the contructed format right now though.
While I usually don't mind having new keywords (it especially helps group things together as well as sort out rule problems), I just don't think some of them really warrant it. For instance, I see offering as an extremely narrow ability. While it does leave WotC open for future possibilities, I just don't think it's necessary when it only a small amount of cards have it. Whatever though. If it helps in the long run, I guess I'm all for keywording...
Edit: My point of view is really only based on the assumption there are only five offering creatures in the set. If there are more, then I can see why they keyworded it.
From what I can figure out, the Patrons will have this offering ability. So what's the point of making up a keyword ability if only 5 creatures are getting this ability?
