For a common its pretty good, though I'd still rather run Reap and Sow, plus if rarity isn't a concern for your deck then Plow Under is another land gone and another turn wasted for one G more....

I dont see how it being a common makes it better. i would never play this in limited unless i got 7 or 8 of them and 5 or 6 rootrunners, and that seems kinda unlikely. There are mush better arcane commons to splice things onto. The only was i can see this being useful is a SB answer to a deck w/ lots of those basic land animating enchntments.
Wicked awrsome! I love the Plow Under effect...it's one of my favorite aspects of green. Although if we could get a Stunted Growth type effect again, that'd be even better...
I think it could be pretty good in limited, but not in constructed. In constructed you would certainly rather use Plow Under. But this card is a straight 1-for-1 in limited, can come down on turn 3 off Sustainer or Elder, and stunts your opponent's board development by a turn. It's one of those cards that is just ok anytime, but absolutely nuts against a mana screwed opponent.
In limited, this would be useful against Arcane Control decks that need to keep their lands in play. If you play this and get a Soilshaper trigger out of it, you will likely wreck them. But if you get nothing better than a Kami of the Hunt or something, you've overpaid for the effect. Thus, I don't see it as being all that useful against most decks where they have probably hit all their land drops they need already.
You really need a great trigger off of this to make it useful in general.

I've seen a lot of worse arcane spells used just to trigger abilities and to splice in to. I'm sure this will get used once in a while, but probabily not by me.
It's a solid common, nothing spectacular (armadillo cloak), but playable.
And to god_Child: i've often thought of constructing such a type of deck, but just never got around to putting it together and collecting the last hand-full of cards for it.
Hey, that's pretty good. Turn 3 Kami of the Hunt in draft, followed by turn 4 this? That's pretty good tempo there.

If hefner was a rich, gay, playboy and had hot steamy sex with hot guys would you choose him? Of course not, mainly because im a straight male and find that stuff gross.

I don't care for it that much, since I don't really like this type of card. That being said, look for many prerelease-goers to get pissed at the infernal combination of mana screw and Uproot/Rootrunner. I'd rather play Plow Under in Constructed.
Remember this comes in the same set as the Genjus, and is an excellent answer to those cards (the return to hand clause triggers only if the enchanted land hits the graveyard). Furthermore, it has the corner usage of getting a land on top of your own library if you're desperate for a deciever activation in the late game. The card is solid in limited and possibly playable in constructed (especially Block). It's nothing to be excited about but it's certainly not as useless as some are stating.

But wouldn't you really rather have a Panoptic Mirror with Plow Under? Or, in the best scenario ever, Beacon of Tomorrows?

I'll be seeing a lot of these as 13th-15th picks, I guess.
Waste of a perfectly good name too.
Too bad.
