Whoa, the pic looks cool, although it doesn't seem to represent one 'snake' as it were. Anyway, it would be awesome as a snake token, I wonder if we will get it the usual way (via The Rewards Program of Death!!:grin2: )!
I agree, seems the MTGO tokens are the best. They're really pushing online Magic lately. I guess it's smart - it costs them nothing, yet they charge the same per "pack"!
do you think they will be realesed as paper cards?
That site has many tokens that have been released as paper cards... Like the pentavite and such... I's quite likely they may make a peper version of the snake due to the large quantity of snake-spawners in CoK

I like the spirit and the snake.
*groan*
It does not cost them "nothing". Instead of hiring printers and production companies, they hire programmers and developers.
Why is the elemental a 1/1? Shouldn't it be an X/X?
MTGO tokens are automatically generated when you play the appropriate card. You never see the token outside of play, so it only has numbers of the P/T it has in play. The guy who maintains Magic Rarities requests X/X or */* tokens to be 1/1 as a default.
Yeah, MTGO has some nice tokens. I think it'd be grreat if they were as easily available in paper form as they are online. The rewards program is a bit slow and it is a task trying to track some down. For now, the dice remain as the tokens of choice.

Every prerelease here in North Carolina, there are vedors that sell cards... I generally buy a bunch of tokens from this one vendor every time I visit... Like ten cents per token... I love the deal...
well technically, wizards doesn't have to hire programmer/artist...
they already have those in their paychecklist...
Wether they have them or not is not the issue. Software developement (especially for robust 24/7 systems) is very expensive (if they had no MTGO they could all sac the developers, right), so they online cards are NOT free I can assure you (but I do think they make a s**tload of cash from it)
As we always say here at work, hardware (i.e. printed cards) is much cheaper than software!

Am I the only one that buys token cards?
I think it would also be used for Dragon Roost.

The dragon is for the one sword that makes a 5/5 blue dragon token. It is called - Tatsumasa the dragon fang.
