I think that the 6th is most likely a enchant legendary land and is probably in green(the colour of land animation). The card with possible 1st turn kills in standard is most likely blazing shoal, there's a thread about the possibility in the rumoured cards section.
Personally i think that dispite the lack of trample anything that can beat for 4 on the 3rd turn is pretty good and will be at least a medium high pick in limited.
This can beat for 4 on second turn. First turn Forest, Genju of the Cedars; second turn land, activate Genju, swing. :grin2:
EDIT 2: Or not. Rick's an idiot. Don't mind Rick Woods here. Moving right along...
EDIT: Does anyone see what I'm talking about with Genju of the Fens??
Edit: *looks at above post, slaps forehead* Of course, because we all know those TAPPED creatures can attack. I hope you were beign sarcastic...

'Fraid not! It does not work. In order to get the activation you need two mana. On turn two you will only have two mana. To get it you will have to tap the land the Genju is on. No worries I though the same thing at first. It is still very good though.
i had a feeling it wouldnt have trample. i predicted 4/3 trample at first, before R_E posted it would be 4/4.
ill still play with it as it is, in a green deck though. as for the 6th genju???
im stumped. it would seem kinda dumb to have 2 in green even if green is the enchant land color. and i dont know how they could do it as a gold one. enchanting a legendary land wouldnt be very good. i hope they dont ruin the cycle with sumthing like that.
Wow...this card is going to be a house in limited...if you can get him out on the first turn, you're swinging by the third. Much less vulnerable than the Red one thanks to those extra 3 points of toughness. If your opponent doesn't have a way to churn out the chumpers, he's going to lose pretty quickly. I still can't believe the Genju are uncommon.
On the 6th Genju, I think it'll be an enchant legendary land, just because of the emphasis on legends. I don't think it'll be multicolored, as it would have to cost more than 1, which would slightly disrupt the cycle. I'd put my chips on green, as it is the color of land animation. I'm just wondering what the ability would be...

"A question well served: 'Is silence like a fever?'" - Dream Theater, The Silent Man
1) No trample on the green genju. Sigh...understandable at least.
2) This makes me sad:
The development team, having decided to commit to actually making White Weenie good, added Armageddon as a White rare, but it only lasted a week and a half before negative feedback from playtesters forced it out of the set.
If you look at the cycle of manlands from Legacy, there's a fairly consistant balance between them and the Genju. If you look at the creatures they produce, here's the comparisons:
- +1/+0, + Spirit Link
- +1/+1
- totally different
- +4/+0, - First Strike
- +1/+1, - Trample
The black one was fairly unpopular (Spawning Pool) so it was totally changed for this cycle. The white and blue ones were given a boost, the red one became quite a bit more aggro, and unfortunately the green one lost some of its oooomph. Treetop Village was always the favourite of the cycle. Now the green one isn't likely to be the most popular. I can't tell how good the new black one is, but the red one and blue ones seem quite powerful. Unkillable 3 power flying creature? Nice.
Here's the Genju of the Fens picture, cropped and zoomed.
You're right, Runeteacher. I'd much rather have a 3-power flyer than a vanilla 4-power creature. And green is the creature colour? Green should be 5/5 (or 4/4 trample), no exceptions. This isn't cool with me.
Wow, attacking for 4 on turn 3 (if you dedicate your first three turns to this strategy). Yuck.
Runeteacher though you are right on how they should reprint geddon the thing is he said in the artical that some of this may or may not be true. He did it in bold letters too. So I'm guessing that he said geddon was out because he told us alot of stuff we already knew and he hopes we think he said all facts and no lies.
So to summerize, I bet my money that geddon will be back because they seem to be pushing WW and he bolded the words may or may not.
Edit: I also read the list again and I saw another lie. He talked of a blue creature that gave mana excelleration to blue that was dropped near the end of devellopment. Well we all know it exists as a 7 mana creature with - 2: Put two lands into play tapped.
This further proves that geddon will most likely be in BoK and make WW run around mad. Plus it will kill TnN in that match up.
Either way, all of the Genju are strong cards themselves. This green one, even without trample, is very respectable. Blocking 'til the cows come home isn't really a good arguement against it not having trample. I know I wish I could block creatures in a certain deck that has little to no removal (affinity) 'til the cows come home. It just doesn't happen. This is an excellent card that is difficult for most decks to permanently deal with, and in my book that alone makes these Genju enchantments very good.
I am looking forward to the Genju of the Falls the most so I don't need to get the expensive man lands from Mirrodin block for my Mono Blue Control deck...
Yeah, Affinity would definitely do that..you know, with all that extra white mana they always have floating around...[/sarcasm]
Seriously, I greatly doubt Affinity would change its entire deck style to fit in a win-more card like 'Geddon. WW doesn't have to change anything to fit it in; the return of 'Geddon would make WW a tier-1 deck, because it would provide an answer for the one deck it always loses to: TNN.
But, I REALLY doubt that Armageddon is getting printed in this set. I think that whole line was false, even the part about being put in front of playtesters. I doubt they ever even considered it. CHK-block WW (or R/W) is already looking pretty strong; print Geddon in an expansion and it'll be Affinity all over at Block tournaments. (not that I'd mind that, being an avid WW player, but still...)
I think Armageddon would be easy to abuse in Affinity decks. It would spawn a new Vile version that uses paradise mantle (There's another source of white to go with the glimmervoids and what not) and who knows maybe chrome mox. Say no to Armageddon at least until Ravinica or whatever its called rotates in and Holy Mother of God affinity decks leave.
Wow, trust me, if 'Geddon was reprinted Affinity would completely use it. The big thing against tooth decks is that if they assemble the urza lands before you can kill them you are going to have a very hard time winning, because usually they have a tooth in hand...well this competely disrupts that plan. And it's also nice if a blue deck taps down low for a shackles or something. But really against tooth 'Geddon would be a godsend.
And the deck already uses 1-3 glimmervoids and 4 chromatic sphere, I assure you cutting the darksteel citadel and tossing in some white artifact lands would be more than enough to run 'Geddon.
Actually i don't believe they'll be reprinting geddon since they have already publicly said that land destruction was moved to red (the whole color pie thing). We haven't seen mass land destruction in white since forever (cataclysm?), but red has seen its fair share of those (Epicenter, Decree of Ahni... Anih... - oh screw it -, the Red Decree, the Red Myojin, etc); I don't see them changing that policy back again.
EDIT: just remembered Global Ruin, but anyway...
I'm too lazy, but your just asking for someone to replay the "Ask Wizards" quote saying how Armageddon is still in whites territory like Wrath still is...

I can see the quotation marks on the third line. It looks like the second line maybe starts with an "h"?

and with greens mana acceleration (Rampant Growth, Sakura-Tribe Elder)
You could have a 4/4 attacking on turn 3.
