I don't know who Jukai is, but I know who the source of this information is, and it's good!

Soulshift 8 (When this is put into a graveyard from play, you may return target Spirit card with converted mana cost 8 or less from your graveyard to your hand.)
8/5 #121/165
The card itself, however... well I don't think it's all that broken. Big fat's nice, though!
This guy reminds me slightly of Plated Slagwurm... A big guy with some cool perks but too big to see play and not good enough to serve as a Tooth target.
I can see this in some timmy power land casual deck... wait, how much mana?? Wow, I hate to watch Timmy curl into the fetal position and start crying when this get's terrored... ;P
Well my opinion really hasn't changed since we first got an idea what this card was going to be like (back when we only knew had soulshift 8.). While it is a big trampler and does provide the advantage of a huge soulshift, its cost isn't really effective enough to be useful. Heck, I don't even think I'd play it in limited...
Well hey, at least it helps fill in the spoiler. Thanks for the info R_E.
Decent pick in limited, especially with several land accellerators and a couple of big creatures to get back (moss kami, any dragon legend, vine kami, thousand-legged kami, kodama north/south, etc). Plus its an uncommon.

On the plus side, this guy does get back the Patron of the Orochi, which no other spirit that we know of does. Still, that isn't really enough of a draw. He's a hideously expensive creature and so probably won't be run. By that point on the mana curve, the cards you're playing should effectively be game enders, not more beef.
let's see.. nice find.. don't say is exactly a great card.. specially 'cause the p/t difference but.. has trample.. and it's obviously timmy stuff.. a.k.a. non tournament first pick..

I don't know why you'd ever play this card in any format. It costs too much, is killed to easily, and has a rather irrelevant soulshift ability. Consider that Myojin of Cleansing Fire is considered a questionable bomb because it costs so much... but that card makes it damn near impossible to lose. This is just another dork. I'm glad its uncommon -- doesn't waste a rare slot but doesn't clog up commons slots for limited.
Not bad, except for the nine mana part, other than that it seems to be a very good beater, wait nine mana.................................well.........at least its not rare.

why do the keep on printing cards with such rediculously high casting costs?
these cards hardly even see limited play (the myojin cost around the same and they're indestructible; even they don't see much play...).
soulshift 8 is neat i guess, and i suppose if the game lasts that long an 8/5 trampler for a kajillion would be useful (and he can soulshift for kokusho...).
hold on!
through the breach him!
oh wait... that sucks too... nevermind.
Ok Yes this card blows in constructed but I wouldn't write it off immediately in limited. A good deal of limited games will go long enough to see this guy get out. At the point when you cast him your probably looking at some sort of equal amount of creatures stand off. this is where trample is great they'll either have to throw a lot of guys at him or take at least 3 or 4 damage. but the best part is his low toughness, as hopefully he will be going to the graveyard and net you back another nice fat spirit to finish the game next turn.

but soulshift 8 could be interesting, if the game ever lasts long enough for you to get this guy out.
True.
Oh, it reminds me of Crash of Rhinos, in a way. :smile2:

To me it is just a fattie kami.
Oh well, the art better be cool.
Well, a dragon I guess... or a myojin

Late game power I guess. At least it has trample, but I would rather have Moss Kami.
Pretty expensive, but it's a pretty effective game ender (of course, it's no Myojin of Life's Web...).
