both seem good in limited. the first one is basically untargetable, which is good. admittedly, the second one is better, but even so, the first one's ok. I don't like that they said the same keyword twice, though. It'd be cooler, IMO, if there was a new keyword that was "double soulshift" or something.
Well it works perfectly fine repeating it twice, so I guess they didn't want to overload us with yet another unneccessary keyword. Besides, think of the community outrage.

I also really enjoy the implications it has for future card design: it means we could see things like "Provoke, provoke" (letting you force two creatures to block) or "Flashback 3R, Flashback -- Sacrifice a red creature." Though I think many of the newer keywords are built to encompass this possibility already -- see "Kicker R and/or W" and similar phrasings.
I really like both of these, at least from a limited standpoint. The blue one is really hard to get rid of without just beating it out of the sky with another flyer, and the garami, i cant see it being very easy to lose if you get that on tha board rather early, with a spirit or 2 in the yard.

OMG- LIMITED MUNCHIES!!!!!!!!!
This card has "BoK First Pick" written all over it in bolded size 72 font.
both cards are really good. your opponent will have to waste a random ability in order to try and kill the glasskite. the garami generates massive card advantage and is a beefy attacker with a reasonable cost.
This guy is amazing in Limited. If they try to kill him it will take two cards or waste two removal abilities. That is card advantage for you. An added bonus is the extra point of toughness. Common blue flyers are usually 2/2 for :3mana::symU:, it might make a difference it might not. He's like the untargettable monk but with flying, and he's a spirit. Ok, so nothing like him.
Didn't see the Garami the first time. This is a first pick in limited. Brutal card advantage.
Both very nice limited cards. I especially like the green one's interaction with Deouring Greed.

Really should have been "Double Soulshift". Nexthing you know, we'll have Stifle-hosers:
Consider:
You have a Shimmering Glasskite in play, your opponent has a Kami of Fire's Roar and plays Swallowing Plague for 3 targeting Glasskite, using the Kami's spiritcraft to also target the Glasskite.
I believe the Plague gets countered, leaving the Glasskite unable to block (please correct me if I'm wrong. I'm a bit hazy on what the stack would look like here, though I think since the Plague targets first, it would trigger the Glasskite's ability and be countered).
In any case, spiritcraft is still your friend when dealing with the Glasskites. As above, just drop whatever Zubera or what not you have in hand before Plagueing and no more flying nuisance. I can't see playing two spells targeting one of these things to take it out except in the most dire of circumstances.
The glass kite is like meh, but the double soulshift is first of all just COOOL ^^ And also really playable in limited

The Glasskite is way beyond solid. 2/2 flyers with an ability for 4 are the order of the day, so a 2/3 with a good ability (for limited) is just gravy. And it's splashable too!
A double soulshifter, thats really original, I wouldn't thought of that, its actually very good in limited , where a 4/4 is good and people won't want it dead, as for the glasskite, I won't be surprise if I see a rare one or a 2 costed one for the cycle.
Wow double soulshift! i was given a pleasant shock when i saw it. Very very original. Would be fun if they made one with converted mana cost 4 and Soulshift 3 Soulshift 3 etc.

I wouldn't be surprised if they did that with CMC 2 and 3 as well.
The thing I'm curious about is R&D's decision to use one instance of reminder text to refer to what appears to be 2 separate abilities. I mean, I have yet to see a card with the following rules text:
Flying, Haste (This creature may only be blocked by other creatures with flying and is unaffected by summoning sickness).
Yes, I know "unaffected by summoning sickness" is a bit archaic, but I think I've made my point. I guess the decision makes sense because both the abilities are the same in the case of the Garami. I can still see this causing some rules problems though, and possibly even more changes to the rules.

Reminder text has no game significance, so they can do whatever they want with it without changing the rules. They could even print a card that said "Haste (This creature may only be blocked by other creatures with flying)" and it wouldn't need errata... though it sure would confuse some players.
These cards will be excellent in limited. 2/3 flying body for is always welcomed and the Forked Branch guy is very powerful. It fills the gap in greens five mana spot, as all the five mana creatures in Champions aren't very good, with a 4/4 body that will provides some serious card advantage if you've got some dead spirits ready to be brought back for more action.

This didn't get answered. Does "first" mean first to resolve, or first to be played? I have to assume, that since Horobi (CHK) triggered on playing the spell, then this will also, and thus the stack will look like:

I wonder if there's any negative triggered ability that targets? You could neutralize it by having it target Glasskite...
The blue thing is boring, yes, but its plenty good in draft/sealed.

I'm also happy with 2/3 fliers for 4, though not being targettable isn't as good as it was.
Still not bad, though.
Both cards geta thumbs up.

Take the Magic: The Gathering 'What Color Are You?' Quiz.
This didn't get answered. Does "first" mean first to resolve, or first to be played? I have to assume, that since Horobi (CHK) triggered on playing the spell, then this will also, and thus the stack will look like:
Glasskite trigger on Plague (NAP)
Kami Trigger targets Glasskite (active player)
Swallowing Plague targets Glasskite (first)
So, on resolution, the Plague gets countered, the GlassKite cannot block.
If anyone disputes this, please explain. I expect to see a lot of this on Saturday.
