These were posted on Mtgnews about two minutes ago... many thanks to MEGANE who has shown us many cards from his Japanese Magazine source since onslught I believe!
I'm sure he's on his way over here to post these anyway...:sunny:
Nice. The first one, while expensive, probably has some ridiculous uses...
The artifact is neat, if also pricey. Kind of like Thought Dissector...

that's not what happened at all. kamahl stabbed phage, akroma, and some old lady and they became korona. then korona got stabbed by her "prophets" and kamahl got drunk with a mutant centaur
[hint]
the 1st one also returns opponent's legendary permanent, if the wording of the card is correct... (this is baaddd)...
the 2nd one is too expensive IMO...
the 3rd one... could be good, (expensive mana-wise, AND you have to pay for the cards that you remove...)

True on the first one, but there are a few ways they can change that - either make it a "may" option, or only work on your own stuff.
They are all too expensive for competitive play. At least, any format where affinity exists. :[
It's interesting to see Temporal Aperature reprinted, but targeting your opponent's library instead. That certainly makes it more interesting, though obviously less powerful.
MEGANE rules. He comes through on the Japanese magazine world really well. I bet he'll have scans up some where soon. Onto the cards:

Nice power level. In limited this plus dragons equals good time. Is too expensive for constructed . Strength does come with a price.

Could be very very interesting in a blue etc spirit deck. Arcane and a nice splice target. Sorcery hurts its constructed playability though.

Fun, but too expensive for any serious or limited play
The first is interesting to say the least, I agree that its power is wholly dependant on whether or not it effects your opponents legendary perms too.
Very interesting cards in this set, I'm very much looking forward to seeing them all. Many thanks MEGANE, sorry if I stole a bit of your thunder there dude!
I don't think that any of these cards are that great in limited or constructed. How many Spirits do you have to have in play for the second on to be worth the cost? 3? 4? Alot of the good blue creatures are Moonfolk anyway. Counsel of the Soratami is going to be better most of the time.

Teller of Tales called and wants his recognition. Actually that draw card can go into one of the best color archetype in kamigawa draft. The U/G/r or U/G draft set plus you can't splice anything onto Counsel of the Soratami.
Dang, these all cost so much to play. Its really nice to see MEGANE coming through with info again. The reverse Temporal Aperture is strange, could really mess with some people, but alas its an artifact, boom! I'd play the card drawer in limited though, seeing as its possible we cheap some cheaper blue spirits from BoK to help us with our curve. What if you got Petals of Insight and the Spirit card drawer, which one do you play? Petals to reuse for arcane triggers, or do you attempt both? I think that the five mana slot is a bit crowded personally.
7 mana 4/4 that can put opponent's dead legendary permanents into their hand, wow... that's ridiculously powerful, even myr enforcer is no match for this guy...
add the fact that if you play 2 of these, you'd put both in your hand...
with 14 mana you can recur spiritcraft trigger over and over again...
2 of this + thief of hope = instant win!!!...
affinity has met its match...
[hint]
wizards has a habit of printing powerful (p/t-wise) creatures with drawback for cheap mana to p/t ration, but with some drawbacks... (broodstar... and for the most obvious = horobi... 4 mana 4/4 flyer with drawback)...
but this... is, ridiculous...
[/hint]
[edit]
thanks for the cards MEGANE, (better late then never )...
the blue one would see limited play though...
not sure about that artifact...
[/edit]
I thought that whenever a card had it's own name on it, it was strictly referring to itself (ie that card, not other copies). Wouldn't the 2 going the graveyard recur each other? But not themselves.
@KaizerBlack2:
Yomiji, Blocker of the Way says "Whenever a legendary permanent other than Yomiji...", so your trick with the two Yomiji´s don´t work.
Each will return the other, so that part works. What I'm not getting is how two of these, fourteen mana and a thief of hope makes an instant kill. I suppose if you had four of Look at me, I'm R&D set from 3 to 4, 4 to 5, 5 to 6, and 6 to 7, as well as an aluren that would work, but he should have said so in the first place.

I think he thought this card made the legend come back into play and not into hand. Then that infinite combo would work. Otherwise this is an expensive way of saving your other legends from elim (or simply killing your dragon and replaying it etc.)

well, actually i know that it's returned to hand...
that lines about the yomiji was sarcasm...
(well i put the explanation about that on my sig)...
and i was referring to situation where you have infinite mana... (mox lotus :p)

you activate and sac the mindslaver, then play the slaver again, then activate it again twice in the same turn...
would you control his next turn or 2 of his next turns???
[/question]
You have the first 1 and SOTPC out. When an opponents card dies, put the first one's ability first, and the samurai's second, so it is removed. When your card dies reverse the order, and get it into your hand.

[hint]
i believe this would not work, since sotpc ability is static ability that is always active...
meaning that when sotpc is out, everything is removed from the game...
(it's the same like darksteel collossus that NEVER hits the graveyard... static ability)

It's a shame they all cost 5+. I want some playables.
I have no extendo-sig. Sorry, I'm just not vain enough to think someone will click on it.

Eh, it was a joke.
And I'm not shouting MEGANE. The name is MEGANE, in all caps. So don't think I'm angry. I'm just saying MEGANE.
But he's never dropped false info before, so...
