"Cain Warner" sent me these arts from BOK, and said that I could reveal his name when I posted them, but nothing else. As you can see, some of them are new, some of them have been seen before in some form, and a couple are already known. I wish we had full cards... but arts are nice too.
PS: Sorry about the thread title. My 2 1/2 year old was watching "The Wiggles" all day today and I've got that "Fruit Salad" song stuck in my head. Anyone got a rocket launcher?
Man, these are amazing. My schoolmates almost always refuse to believe me when I tell them that people draw these. The artists employed by WotC are something special indeed.
the fourth one on the second line could be Patron of the Nezumi, though it doesnt look giant and scary like that kitsune patron......
maybe it's like a betrayer rat or something...human betrayers turn into humanoid spirits, maybe this is what a "ratanoid" spirit would look like..

Well, I think that the 4th pic in the first set looks like it would be the green genju, as it looks big (R_E told us in another thread that the green one was a 4/4, possibly trampler), and, just from looking at the picture, it looks like a forest is getting up and walking around. On the other hand, it doesn't really have any similarities to the red genju that we already have a pic for.
The fourth pic in the second set I think is the Patron of the Nezumi. Not only is it on the cover of the "Rat's Nest" precon, it looks vaguely ratlike (well, like a freakish, mutant rat, but...), and, if you set it next to the Patron of the Kitsune, you'll notice a lot of similarities in pose, position, and composition of the picture.

Hmm.. well, it does have appendages, I can clearly see an arm and a leg. The little things around it.... well they aren't seeds, they're too wel crafted for that, the one the ine front you can see clearly and it looks metallic. This thing is alive though. Look at the left side of it - there are trees growing on it, sure, but they're angled - trees tend to grow as vertically as possible. I think this is probably the Green Genju
My opinion on the 4th pic: Probably the green genju, as it seems to be a spirit that is rising from the ground, being animated. Or it could be a kodama, or just something else, i don't know. Whatever.
so....looks like the main art in question is fourth from left....
kodama
or
green genju
and we also have flying spirit acorn seeds:)
maybe we shoudl start a poll and see what the most popular choice is.
personally i think its the genju...i think its too wierd to be a kodama (wierd even for the kodamas) it definatly has the appearance of being animated...getting up off the forest floor. i didnt read any history on the kodamas, but would htey just be lying around lazily all the time? or are they some kind of spirit guardian???
4th art is the green Genju - 9th art is the black Genju. They both are animated pieces of land "enchanted" by those little flying things. What happens when the land is destroyed? The little flying things take off and can enchant another land.
To me, from left to right: ( ALL SPECULATION )
1. Looks kinda like a green Samuri:sweat:
2. Has a definate blue feel, leading me to believe that either there is another cycle of LARGE creatures, OR it has a good chance to be the Patron of the Moon.
3. Looks like a new Female BLACK samuri, the dark purple background is a definate give away. Probably a Legend, due to the closeness of the art, and that there is but one living creature in the whole field. Maybe a black legend samuri, which would make things interesting if Toshi was printed. there being TWO black legendary samuri printed in one set... and a smaller one at that.
4. Appears to be the White Genju, it is a spirit, as evidenced by the windmills floating, and looks to be MADE of the plain...
5. Um.... Toshi. Little else one can say, except for that. He appears to have just taken part in a large battle, and yeah... is cleaning his blade, maybe cleaning off the after effects of a Kanji symbol.
(SECOND SET: LEFT TO RIGHT)
6. Um, a new ninja, maybe a uncommon...
7. An Ogre in front of Shinka the bloodsoaked keep, which from gathered information is a ogre keep. Which would make sense for Hidetsugu to be at. So that could easily be Toshi's ally, Hidetsugu, the legendary ogre from the first book.
8.Umm we all know this is Ink-eyes, the desecrator.
9. Um, yeah, this is like some of the other creatures and has the look of one of the patrons. Patron of the Nezumi, leading credence to my earlier stipulation that MAYBE the big blue thing is the Patron of the moon, what with this black things monsterous size.
10. And yet another card whose identity has already been placed. This would be Pear-eyes(?) i do believe the name is, the 1/4 who redirects damage to himself.
Those are my guesses as to the identities of each card, or atleast the identifiable portions. (I.E. the people contained within.)

The 1st has definite black feeling to me, mainly because of that ribcage he's wearing.
Um in the forest, surrounded by trees? And its SOIOOO green a background, concidering the back ground of the prior black samuri yeah... i think hes green...

Yeah, im also getting the vibe of that. I like the 4th one on the second post. Maybe it's the swamp Genju?
Time for vote the gender part2!!
Narh, if it's a male, it should wear tighter fitting clothes. Female I guess. lol
<Qzilla> losing to girls at magic is such a high
Does that seem like a rat to anyone else? Like the jaw?
My vote that its the Rat Offering.legend
- Me, Nov 20th 2003
My guesses:
First set, from the left side;
1.A black warrior, not sure if a ninja
2.Probably the blue Genju (NOT O-Kagachi, for various reasons)
3. Blue female ninja, no idea what she can do (Ninjutsu precon)
4. Kodama-ish look...either that or a green Genju...but I think that the green genju is the ooze/wurm looking thing on a pic already known.
5. Toshi Umezawa
Second set:
"Boosterbox ninja", maybe rare?
Ogre in front of Shinka
Ink-Eyes
Patron of the Nezumi (it is on the Rats' Nest precon)
Opal-Eyes, Konda's Yojimbo (confirmed)
Let this great clan rest in peace (2001-2011)

I'd do it for the pics, but I'm tired and lazy.
