Ire of Kaminari - 3R

Ire of Kaminari deals 1 damage to target creature or player for each Arcane card in your graveyard.

This would be much better if it were "Arcane or Spirit," so it could pump off of Frostling and Hearth Kami.

This is my Jackal Pup. There are many like it, but this one is mine. My Jackal Pup is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life. My Jackal Pup without me is useless. Without my Jackal Pup, I am useless. I must tap my Jackal Pup true. I must tap faster than my enemy who is trying to kill me. I must beat him down before he beats me down. I will.
Hmmm, just noticed something strange... The white Baku (as seen in the FAQ) doesn't tap for its effect, while the blue and black ones in this batch of cards do tap.
A typo in these cards, or maybe even in the FAQ? Maybe not all the Baku need to tap? Or is this a reason to doubt the vaildity of these cards? Either way, something smells a little fishy...
Some of the ki counter removal guys tap and others don't. THe white one is soooo good because it doesn't tap. The Green one that add's mana by removing ki counters doesn't tap either.
There are a lot of cards that I thought were amazing since they were common/uncommon. I don't remember all of the rarities. I am pretty sure Split Tail is common. Other than Tomorrow, Azami's Familiar I didn't see very much card draw. I didn't see any other Shrines either. I saw the White Genju and the Black Genju and the Green Genju. I thought we had the names of all the Genju by now so I didn't write them all down.
Glasskite is really really good. It forces people to use a second removal spell to get rid of him. Even if they do, he still has a 3 butt. I'd rather have that guy than Gibbering Kami. I wish I could remember any of the other cards though. I wish I had gotten to look at all of them but as it was pretty much in confidence I couldn't look too long, and I was already writing everything down!
To those who haven't read all the posts yeah I typoed on the 5B's Soulshift. And I wasn't sure from my notes if it was Goblin Cohort or not.
I think you'll enjoy these once you realize they are real. It can give you an extra edge on Limited competition ^_^.

Actually at first that's what I thought it said. MY first reaction was "Well I'll just play IName Death Aspect and win." then someone pointed out that it's only arcane spells. But it does make a Red Blue deck reaaaally powerful with Sift/Reach/Peer/Lava Spike/Glacial Ray.
Phantom Wings is ofcourse a great BoK card. It grants evasion and bounce, 2 things that work well with Ninjutsu. Combine it with cards like Kitsune Mystic and Tallowwisp, and some white/blue arcane combat tricks and you will have some fun with Ninjutsu.
Arkham, the 1920's. Investigators battle horrors from beyond time and space, risking life and sanity while conspiracies of cultists and malign servitors seek gateways for their outer gods to return...
Soon, the stars will be right! Great Cthulhu shall rise!

Another interesting possible twist w/Shuriken would be .... Creature gains :Xmana:: This creature deals X damage to target creature or player. Any player damaged in this way, or controller of creature damaged in this way gains control of Shuriken.
A true missile weapon. The injured party picks it up off the ground and can can throw it back at you!!

Lies! -I'm Buffy Summers, town tracker. I used my ability on you and saw that you didn't use any abilities before the game started. My flavor is I was sucked through a mysterious space-time portal and I'm here to kill all the vampires, and my tracking ability is a combination of my Slayer and Native American skills.
because
1) they are boring
2) i don't like you, blue
some evidence:
- goblin cohort
- maybe messed up tap abilities
- total recall (of card numbers that is)
- messed up wordings (if he has all the card numbers, why did he write down wrong worded rules text? e.g "First Volley - Deal 1 damage to target creature and 1 damage to that creature's controller." since when does a player deal damage?)
- copied cards from the faq (to prove the other cards real)
- thrash talking about other already confirmed cards
EDIT: oh, and where is the problem giving confirmations when there are just three days to go for the prereleases?
Serge++, meet twintwist and gogf, two people who doubted far too much, and cited simply stupid reasons, such as "these cards are boring" and "i don't like you."
The guy may have been taking notes, and knew card #s would be important, but functions he could shorten/ abbreviate to save time. Its a lot of wording.
Further more, in EVERY set there are boring cards. Cards that don't break the rules, don't break the game, and don't seem to interesting do actually have a place in magic. So, "cards are boring" is not quite a good reason.

I love Joboman, Poggy, Niv, and Vezok, because, while they may not be the best players, they still try to win. Having fun is the most important thing to a game, but I've learned that if you don't try to win, then you're ruining everyone else's fun.
This card must be fake! Because this card is totally broken!
"Oyobi Who Split the Heavens - 6W
Legendary Creature - Spirit
Flying
Whenever you play a spirit or Arcane spell you may put a 3/3 white spirit creature with flying into play.
3/6
18"
a 3/6 flier for 7 isn't really broken.
his ability is really, really good... but that doesn't make him broken either.
also, there are a bunch of ways to kill him and / or his token spawn (esp in t2... echoing truth rapes those tokens...).
he really shines in limited... t2 he's better than average, not broken.
They look real, they're names look real and because they suck, they'll most likely be real. I hope they're fake because they suck even more than most champion cards.
if they are real i'd give him props for feverishly scribbling down cards in the middle of the place. i think i'd make typos too, even though i probly wouldn't have done the public service of writting everything down. most probly would have come in and said "uhhhh hey guys, we played with some new cards. some were cool... thx bye."
i 100% believe these are real. i dont like any of them:( so i wish they WERE fake. way too much crappy expensive soulshift. i hate soulshift, its way too expensive in most cases.
speaking of the spoiler.... we have all but 30-some cards (providing these are real)! dang. i so don't want to look anymore so i have SOME bit of suprise, but then again i also want to play to win this weekend (and i'm horrible at drafts).
Ire of Kaminari - 3R

Silverstorm Samurai - 4WW
Creature - Fox Samurai
You may play ~ at any time you could play an instant.
Bushido 1.
3/3
22
This guy as a trick still doesn't seem as good as Samurai Enforcers.
Mending Hands - W
Instant
Prevent the next 4 damage that would be dealt to target creature or player this turn.
15
I guess this is ok but it makes me wonder if they are removing Healing Salve from the base set?
Crawling Filth 5B
Creature - Spirit
Fear
Soulshift 6
2/2
This guy sucks.
Call for Blood 4B
Instant - Arcane
As an additional cost to play Call for Blood sacrifice a creature.
Target creature gets -X/-X until end of turn where X is the sacrificed creature's power.
63
Seems ok O_o. Seems more like a passive situation or maybe where you are locked and they swing so you block one and after damage kill another?
Shuriken - 1
Artifact - Equipment
Equip 2.
Equipped creature has "T, Unattach Shuriken: Deals 2 damge to target creature. Then that creature's controller gains control of SHuriken unless the equipped creature was a ninja."

Instant
You gain 3 Life.

Soulshift 3
1/4

Tap or untap target permanent. Then tap or untap another target permanent.
57
This is soooo good. And it's arcane.
Takeno's Cavalry 3W
Creature - Human Samurai
Bushido 1
T: Deals one damage to target attacking or blocking creature.
1/1
Usually I like this ability, but... he's still a 1/1 for 4 and no one likes Numai outcast.
Skullmane Baku - 3BB
Creature - Spirit
Spiritcraft _ Put a ki counter on ~
1,T, Remove X ki counters: Target creature gets -X/-X until end of turn.
2/1
83
At first I thought wow this could be good... then he's a 5 to cast 2/1.
Pus Kami - 5BB
Creature - Spirit
B, Sacrifice Pus Kami: Destroy target non black creature.
Soulshift 6.
3/3
79
The sad part is that I can actually see myself playing this in spite of it being a 7 to cast 3/3
Taproot Kami - G
Creature Spirit
Defender
~'s Toughness is equal to the number of forests in play.
~ can block as though it had flying.
0/*
147
Hello wall
Takenoma Bleeder is the 3/3 for 3 that makes you lose one life when it attacks or blocks and you don't control a demon. He's good.
Then there is the black guy. Can't remember his name. Something about Muscle. he's the ki counter 1BB for a 2/2. Flips into a 4/4. Remove a counter something gets fear. It's reaaaaalllly good.
Goblin Cohort - R
Creature - Goblin Warrior
~ Cannot attack unless you played a creature spell this turn.
2/2
Gnarled Mass is a Spirit version of Trained Armodon!!! number 127
Kami of Tattered Shoji - 4W
Creature - Spirit
Spiritcraft - ~ gains flying until end of turn.
2/5
11
Sakura - Tribe Springcaller - 3G
Creature - Snake Shaman
At the beginning of your upkeep add G to your mana pool. This mana doesn't empty at the end of phases and doesn't cause mana burn.
2/4
142.
That's all the information I could get.
However:
There is a 1/1 for 1G that adds Ki counters with Spiritcraft. You may pay 1: remove X ki Counters and add X mana of any color to your pool.
There also seems to be a 2/2 for 1G that says whenever you play a spirit or arcane spell you may put a land from your hand into play tapped.
Woo! that took a long time!
Bye
Oh yeah there is a really weird legendary land... I think it's legendary.
It comes into play with a charge counter on it. You may tap it for Colorless mana or you can tap it and remove a charge counter to add one mana of any color to your pool. It seems pretty bad unless you play Vintage.
It'd be nice to know your source.
Ire of Kaminari - Could be good. Finally, something that hits creatures and players.
Scaled Hulk - Whoo! Bigger version of Kami of the Hunt. for +2/+2 and an additional +1/+1 for spiritcraft is pretty darn good.
Oyobi Who Split the Heavens: Not bad I guess. But I don't like the same type of tokens having different sizes.
First Volley - Meh. for arcaneness over that one Urza's spell.
Shinka Gatekeeper - Boo.
Quillmage Baku - I'm guessing there's another cycle that uses ki counters? Cool. OK, IMO.
Phantom Wings - Reprint. Wasn't it Ghostly Wings before?
Split Tail Miko - Very nice. What are the rarities (one any of them)?
Silverstorm Samurai - Samurai Enforcers is way better, and I don't even like them much.
Mending Hands - Wow, that's a lot of prevention with a little cost.
Crawling Filth - Uh, 6 for a 2/2? No thanks.
Call for Blood - Crap. Why not just use Pull Under?
Shuriken - Yay! I like it.
Vital Surge - Boo. I'll just take the :symg::symg: one.
Moonlit Strider - Pretty good.
Teardrop Kami - P/t?
Waxmane Baku - What's a Waxmane Baku?
Toils of Night and Day - Not really, compare to Dream's Grip.
Takeno's Cavalry - Bushido 1 is definitely not worth :2mana:.
Skullmane Baku - Reusable removal I guess.
Pus Kami - What's with the expensive small creatures? No one liked Vine Kami.
Taproot Kami - OK, I guess.
Something about Muscle - Sounds pretty good. I like all of this cycle.
Goblin Cohort - Mogg Conscripts. Meh.
Gnarled Mass - More meh.
Kami of Tattered Shoji - Don't really like this guy.
Sakura - Tribe Springcaller - OK.
ki Counters and add X mana - Don't really like the ability, but I guess it could build up quickly.
2/2 for 1G - A bear with ability for moonfolk. OK.
What we're doing here is akin to taking the text of Moby Dick, locating specific words therein, rearranging them to create a passage from Fight Club, and concluding from this evidence that Tyler Durden is based on Ahab.
i imagine these are real because they are crappy enough. the R 2/2 goblin is GOOD maybe not so much in limited but possibly in constructed. i really dohnt like that green wall though..this is a tempo oriented set and your opponent dropping that will allow them time to build up their huge green creatures..

Look at Kodama of the Center Tree on the FAQ - they're breaking the "Soulshift must be X-1" rule on it already.
And with the same rule for CC=X for Soulshift from Kodama of the Center Tree I find the card VERY believable as a ****ty, but self recursive 2/2 Fear creature.
some of those cards are just great. loving the flavor and the mechanical interaction... but some of the casting costs are just plain silly... outside of a draft environment they'll just sit in yer binder and stare blankly at you while you build with the viable cards... now don't get me wrong... i love to use "junk" cards (i've built more decks around blinkmoth urn than you can imagine...)but "junk" casting costs are almost impossible tocontend with... R&D needs to give us more mana fix options (fifth dawn had some great ones, and the diviners top is king in my opinion) and less spells that we'll only use because we've only drafted 8 creatures and we're already passing around the third pack.

What we need is a "slower" type 2 environment where Ravager isn't the staple and where a good amount of decks can compete. Not just 2-3 uber "net" decks.
