The Genju are a cycle of six local enchantments that enchant specific land types. They can also be activated to turn the land they are enchanting into a creature until end of turn. Each mono-colored Genju can enchant only lands with a specific basic land type. The legendary {W}{U}{B}{R}{G} Genju (Genju of the Realm) may enchant any land. The Genju also return to their owner's hand when the enchanted land is put into a graveyard.
well, its certainly nice to see a pile of cards, unfortunately, while being really cool, most of them are too expensive:( legends were supposed to be a little but undercosted, yet so many seem to be OVERcosted. i really like some of the cards here but probably wont use many, sadly. the white shoal is good. ill def. use that one. not sure about the rest...
I like the flat out confirmation that the Quash cycle is back in exact reprint form, along with some of the weird things. And Tomorrow is going to make me feel like I'm playing Dragonball more than Magic.

Mirror Gallery is just waiting to be broken wide open. Next time I do a R/R/R draft involving BoK and UNH, I will try my darndest to get Mirror Gallery + 2x Frankie Peanuts into play.
I will definitely be putting my Krark's Thumb deck back together with some hot Mirror Gallery action. I'll probably throw Tide of War and Fumiko the Lowblood in there as well just to make it even more crazy.
The Mirror Gallery card is going to be number one in causing rules headaches, since one of the reasons that cards get made Legendary is that having two in play isn't handled well by the rules. This was specifically mentioned as the reason for Krark's Thumb being Legendary.
Does anyone remember a saturday school or something like that which said what would happen with two or more thumbs in play? I sure do! It's like they were giving small clues of what might happen. Even though I always thought there was going to be a card like this, just that it would only affect one card (card name).
So hang on.. it got mentioned already, but what happens if you have two Krark's Thumbs in play? This is not Rumored Card Discussion or the Ruling Forum. No warning Given.
I collect: Vedalken Heretic, Lorescale Coatl, Reaper King, Worldslayer, Woodwraith Corrupter, Lorthos, the Tidemaker. Soon to collect Conquering Manticore.
I demanded a Manticore, and Wizards delivered. I now demand a Chimaera. The REAL one, not, Chimeric items. I also demand a new Gorgon. And more Manticores please.
After looking more at the cards i'm really happy with the white shoal, the prevention/deflection effect is so much better than the life gain/prevention ability i was afraid of seeing.
Oooooo, if you think the the two thumbs was confusing in terms of rules, just imagine the headaches it'll cause in programming it into MTGO. Then there's the mana that doesnt empty or cause mana burn and the Mirror Gallery thing.
The legendary equipment with the charge counters seems very nice!
I find the Umezawa's Jitte be an extremely bomby card in limited. It can act as serrated arrows, life gain, or as a vulshok morningstar. It triggers on any combat damage which is crazy I tell you, crazy!
In Casual, the Mirror Gallery is pretty rude. Get two Frankie Peanuts into game.
Question 1:
"Will the answer to my next question be "Yes"?"
Question 2:
"Do you want to concede the game"
or
"Don't you want to concede the game?"

Enchant Creature
{1}{W}: The next 1 damage that would be dealt to enchanted creature this turn is dealt to target creature or player instead
Waxmane: Meh. In some cases, it'll be a better Innocence Kami, in others, a much worse one. Mid pick in Limited, pick it higher if you're drafting W/x Spirit/Arcane.
Clash of Realities: Red now has its 2 mandatory random-chaos effects this set.
Kitsune Palliator: ...I dunno, can't really see a huge use for this card, unless Yamabushi's Storm suddenly becomes the best card in CHK.
Center Tree: Well, at least it's always a 1/1. Keldon Warlord's fate should say something about where this fella's headed.
Mirror Gallery: I knew it was coming, I only hoped I was wrong. I think they should have made this Legendary for the heck of it.
Ornate Kanzashi: Another random-chaos card every set needs.
Shining Shoal: *Drool* Heck, this card is worth hardcasting in a lot of cases. Definitely up there for best Shoal so far.
Shirei: Costs too much for me to get too happy about it. But hey, it lets you reuse STE every turn.
Skullsnatcher: Wow, I all but called this one, except mine had +1 on cost and Ninjutsu and 1B: Regenerate target Ninja. B Ninjutsu for a 2/1, or a pseudi-bear anyway, very efficient, and it should be a high pick in draft.
Stream of conciousness: Hey, Gaea's Blessing saw its share of play, and this makes for a FINE splice target.
Threads: A mini-Dominate. fun. If it's uncommon, it'll be big in Limited. If not, I don't see it doing much, though it could be good SB for MUC vs. Affinity.
Toils of Night and Day: Dream's Grip was way better than this, but Arcane is always nice.
Tomorrow: Ok, it's sweet library manipulation, but a 1/5 legendary creature for 6 mana? Yuck.
Jitte: This looks like a nice little piece of equipment, esp. since it doesn't say combat damage to a player, just any combat damage. That will almost always guarantee a recharge next turn, when you can pump the equipped creature by 4/4 or kill a blocker. This is sweet.
Ward of Piety: Might have potential, but it's awfully mana intensive. White burn is never bad though.
Shining Shoal is very playable, I'll definitely use this one!!!
And if you look at this cards:
Roar of Jukai
{2}{G}
Instant -- Arcane
If you control a Forest, each blocked creature gets +2/+2 until end of turn.
Splice onto Arcane--An opponent gains 5 life.
Horobi's Whisper
1BB
Instant -- Arcane
If you control a Swamp, destroy target nonblack creature.
Splice onto Arcane—Remove four cards in your graveyard from the game.
Does anybody see the resemblence of the cards here???
#1 - What's the dumbest idea you ever had?
#2 - 15/15 for 15?
#1 - Make it dumber
#2 - Give it protection from removal and counter?
#1 - DUMBER!
#2 - Add Timewalk?
#1 - DAMN IT MAN, I SAID DUMB!! DUMB !!!
#2 - It destroys everything when it attacks.... And wait, I have a friend who plays mill decks... I want to beat him too.
#1 - Excellent! Recess is over, go back and learn sex-ed with the other 6th graders.
Shining Shoal is very playable, I'll definitely use this one!!!

Yes, they're part of a 5-card cycle. The White one gives +1/+0 and First Strike with Splice - tap a White creature you control, the Red one is 4 damage to a creature with splice - sac 2 mountains, and the Blue one is unblockable/untargetable with splice - bounce a blue creature you control.

Nice. Combos with ninjas. Even if they block the ninja, redirect 1 damage to the player for it's desired effect. Wo0tz

provided you use up 2WW mana to play this and use this on their creature, and considering a lot of ninjas have high mana costs/double black/double blue requirements, you'd have been better off with cage of hands. It is good on a blocker of yours, though, but tricky to use tricks.

That doesn't work. The redirected damage will not be coming from the enchanted ninja, but the creature that is blocking. It would work if you enchanted an opponent's creature and then that creature blocked your ninja. That is a silly idea though.
Yea, you're right, it's kind of silly. Then again, it costs 2, and could drop it early on to deter people from blocking, or during late games when you can force in more damage through a trick or two with this.

Excellent find, these are pretty nice. That White Shoal is awesome, damage redirection as a pitch spell never even crossed my mind. This is so much better than some plain damage prevention or lifegain I thought we'd get. Celebrate!

VERY cool ability. is it worth the cost though? 1/5 makes it able to fend off most smaller direct dammage, which is nice.
And Mirror Gallery is just... wacky!
