No, they're stories of certain figures, not from the book. Usually (I can't think of an instance where they were), they aren't even mentioned in the book at all.
Im glad this is up, I love the art and card he has, and hope the story is good, as i havent read it yet.

I wonder what the demon was supposed to be? Scourge of Numai maybe?
If it's a demon that's been printed I think it may be a Gutwrencher Oni from the description - Long horns scraping the ceiling, skinless face and empty eye sockets... Scourge of Numai looks like it has skin on it's face, it's just grinning crazily. The main thing that makes me think Gutwrencher though is the horns scraping the ceiling. Gutwrencher's horns go up, where as Scourge of Numai's go out towards the sides of it's body.
I collect: Vedalken Heretic, Lorescale Coatl, Reaper King, Worldslayer, Woodwraith Corrupter, Lorthos, the Tidemaker. Soon to collect Conquering Manticore.
I demanded a Manticore, and Wizards delivered. I now demand a Chimaera. The REAL one, not, Chimeric items. I also demand a new Gorgon. And more Manticores please.
I thought Kentaro's ability seemed kind of off... good ability, probably in color, but it lacked flavor before I read that. The story is more Toshisai's story than Kentaro's, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.

The Brothers Yamizaki (Or however their name is spelled) are in the book and the CoK previews.

Yes, but their names are not mentioned in the book, they are only described. The book describes the scene when Sharp-Ear, kitsune ranger shoots Shujiro Yamazaki through his throat, as it was said in their MTC story.
The opposite is true for Toshi Umezawa, who is a major character, but he has not been named during his appearance in Iwamori's story.
General Takeno is mentioned in books as well as in his story, but during OUTLAW, he is rather old man (cca 60), more a castle-dwelling tactician than actual field leader.
The dragon Jugan has not been mentioned in books, but HERETIC features both Yosei and Keiga.

looking at Kentaro makes me question my sexuality, thats how good the art is.
He is a metrosexual Samurai. He is the "faceman" of Konda's army. I like it how he sees the Honour, not the manacost of a fellow samurai.
Somehow he reminds me a bit of Ertai though...
Liked the story!
Now I am just curious to know: How did a samurai get green aligned (Isao, Enlightened Bushi)? And will SoK bring a blue samurai? When they make some ofbeat colour samurai Kentaro is going to be very usefull. a 5 colour samurai in SoK maybe?
And that swallowing ground curse? Is there a card for that?

The story was amazing. It shows off Kentaro's ability, converting a black samurai(ochimusha) into one for his own personal militia, samurai.

A truly great petition
To Pita: No, Iwamori is not mentioned in Heretic, the only connection to storyline is Toshi's appearance in his story.

Pull Under comes to mind, if you read its flavor text.
Yup, it's definitely Pull Under.
