The black samurai could be Takeno. If you look at the art it has a pretty evil/spirity horse. When Takeno became a ghost he probably got pretty warped and messed up. I think he would qualify as a black creature now. Frankenstien (in The Dark) is black even though he has very white motives, he was created by black mana though (necromancy)
Takeno is similiar. I think Konda who is Takeno's boss is black now as well. After O Kagachi leaves Eiganjo his emmidiate responce is to search for his prize, not help his people. He's alot like Gollum

Back in The Dark, they didn't have the understanding of the color pie they have today, so that doesn't really count. I really doubt Takeno would become black, since he kept loyal to his daimyo and stood by his honor (as far as I know).

The green Ki-Rin (the horse-dragon) looks to be the second big green flier in this block. That seems really wierd.
The green one reminds me of the Wood spirit from Mononke Hime. :grin2:
