The end of the Kami War is at hand, and the barrier between the material and spirit worlds is eroding. As Saviors of Kamigawa wraps up the Kamigawa storyline, the war once more comes down to legendary warriors and mages on each side. And the legends behind the Legends will once more be presented right here.
As the war reaches its endgame, other stories are unfolding across the land. As the veil ruptures (due to the daimyo Konda's extraction of a kami from the spirit realm), humans and spirits are crossing over with alarming frequency. There are wheels within wheels as ancient kami take advantage of the situation for their own unguessable goals. There are humans that serve the oni and humans that deceive them.
For the next five weeks, we'll spotlight five of the set's Legends and provide an invaluable look at their motivations, their histories, and their stories.
And not only that, but the Orb of Insight is back, giving a look into the future and showing off the secrets of Saviors of Kamigawa!
EDIT: Superfluous product shot removed (there is an old thread for that).
ah so they finally got it up... I checked earlier today and it was still down... I figured they would have it up sometime today, seeing as how the stories start this coming week
Edit: well I guess we know what the red Kirin looks like now
I tryed doing it a week ago but could not find the Betrayers site and therefore not the base code. Is that how you did it? Found the base code and changed it to SOK instead of BOK?
At any rate good job. It in itself does not give us much but I figure it will go live Monday and we can start our Orb pickings then. Mickiwhahahaha whatever souds like a good Orb term to me.
I hope I'm not the only one who thinks that half horse/half dragon looks absolutely stupid.
On another note, thanks for the hack
Your hope is reinforced--it looks ridiculous.
Indeed, thank you much for the find--I've been trying the simple replacing of 'bok' with 'sok' for some time, but i've been too lazy to try recently. I dunno guys, I'm getting really excited for Saviors. I'm hoping for some great stuff. Even though I'm currently making a shift from physical cards to MTGO, this is gonna be great!
June 27th?

Waiting patiently for MTGO Leagues to become a priority again. It's been 4 years .

Yes, I agree. I hate it.
It looks way worse when compared to the other 3 that we have. Very dissapointing. I hope this isn't like the ChK dragons, when the good looking ones turn out to bet the worst, (Jugan) and the bad looking ones end up being t3h 1337 awsome. (Kokusho)
It is may 4th for the short story "previews." For both Champions and Betrayers, they posted the first short story of the set about the week before card previews began.
[EDIT]: Although in the card preview archive, it does say May 4th. Which is a Wednesday. I can only assume its a typo, unless they've drasticly changed how they handle previews.

:grin2: Something about this whole rumor season tells me they've re-thought how they're going to hand out preview info through different media, it's already been discussed that perhaps they're doing things differently to try to shake off the leaks that have lead to site's like Salvation gaining info on a set before Wizards is ready to let the info be known... I'm hoping for the 4th of May for the first real card preview, not those legends story things, that wednesday is gonna be THE day, as Inquest magazine also hits shelves then too Choice!
Did I mention how happy I am with the art in this set, it's simply amazing
Hmm, that fox on the left is funky. I don't know about the red kirin, on the one hand it looks like a modern-day version of Pheldagriff, what with al its weird colours, on the other hand it does have a very cool tail. I gues the total image just isn't right though, but that goes for the white one too (in my opinion)... The black and the green one are awesome though!

I'm just going to express my disagreement with this, Kokusho has an awesome picture imo.
Fill in one word and it will sum up all the instances of that word in cardnames, text box (excepting flavor text it seems, at least nowadays) and type-line. What you get to see is that number.
What we're doing here is akin to taking the text of Moby Dick, locating specific words therein, rearranging them to create a passage from Fight Club, and concluding from this evidence that Tyler Durden is based on Ahab.

I'm a little curious about it myself. I thought the Ki-rin were all good creatures.
Guildmaster Jarad
Its alright, but I like ryusei, Jugan, and yosei a lot better.

does this relate to that rainbowhorsedragon? :grin2: pwned.
...and where the heck did that come from?
Anywho, am I the only one that likes the red kirin? It looks like it's about to open a jar of pwnage.
