i dont like the idea of this as an instant or sorcery. seems like "copy the ability of target land" wouldnt really work: would u pay costs for it, tap it, what?

The version I made would just give you the effect without the costs; that's why I like it (makes sacrifice lands like fetchlands better, or as I said the additional-cost lands)
Interesting card if true, i'm not sure how they'd word it though. would it be put a token copy of that land into play until end of turn or would it be copy target ability(or non mana ability) of a land(you control or any land).
The mechanic names seem to suggest that shinen (wisdom) has more in common with copying, but the numbers say it's more probably related to epic, since there are enough instances of 'copy' for each instance of 'epic'. (The way I see it, copy would appear in the reminder text of one of the two mechanics).
The way I see it, there's 10 Shinen cards, one other card that copies that isn't related to Shinen (perhaps this land copying thing), and two cards that mention Shinen in their flavor text.
1. Orb doesn't search flavor text.
2. Shinen is not "wisdom". Wisdom has apparently something to do with hand size (thus 97x "hand". Shinen is supposed to deal with barrier between the worlds weakening. Lotus Noir has talked about these as two separate mechanics.
Epic Shock
R
Sorcery
Epic Shock deals 2 damage to target creature or player.
Epic (When you play this spell, copy it for each legendary spell played before it this turn)
Landcrafter (random mana cost)
Creature - Working monkey
T: Choose a nonbasic land you control. ~ becomes a copy of that land as though that land had just come into play.
You may choose not to untap ~ during your untap phase.
Though from the rumor I'm sure it's more of a copy ability, but just think how cool this card would be. It's like a completely free cycle, and can easily be used to untap say a cloudpost. Since Extended already has land untappers they wouldn't have to worry about any realtionship with Tolarian Acadamy.
That'd also be really wrong. Can you see that in T1 with Cabal Coffers in black decks? Wow, that's speed. Of course, it'll probably be blue, so I dunno.
Behind the eyes of truth, is a world of illustions.
Dragon Riderof a Mist Dragonn anyway with the Dragon Riders Clan.

I dunno, I'm reaching for ideas now.
Untap Target Land.
