Whenever this creature is dealt damage by a source, ~ deals an equal amount of damage to that source's controller.
A built-in Eye for an Eye. they HAVE been going gung-ho on building abilities like that into creatures so I wouldn't be surprised if this is Saviour's version.

That would be great, but unfortunately it isn't possible - "Kataki" only gets one hit on the orb.
Unless i've missed it, i don't recall anyone showing evidence that the name was confirmed.
And in my opinion, i can't see the name being "Kataki, War's wage".
Why not? There are Chisei, Heart of Oceans and Horobi, Death's Wail.
Besides, "war's" gets one hit at the orb, so it's probably really Kataki, War's Wage.
I can say that I think that 'Kataki, War's Wage' sounds rather awesome. Since part of the wages of war would be vendetta, blood feud, or any other form of revenge.
As my Japanese culture professor said, 'If the basic Western story plot is 'boy meets girl', for the Japanese it's 'blood-spattered revenge''.
Does ne1 see War's Wage as a savior? I dont personaly. Maybe you could tap one of your creatures inorder for the tapped creature to deal damage equal to its power to every creatue, it probally would olny allow you to use it once per turn and olny on your turn probally.
Do you mean that white has nothing to do with vengeance ?
No but people are saying that white and black mean vengence just pointing out they dont. white normally stands for cheap little creatures. green is big cost effective. black is greedy and spoiled because it can get anything it wants at a cost. blue is control red is normally cheap and small burn.

In a 1996 survey of musicians (on-line and in-person at Berklee College of Music in Boston) we asked this question:"Please describe the feeling you get (good or bad) from playing or listening to very loud music." Below are all the responses... 19/ M : Very good. Comments: I AM NOT DEAF! 44/M: Too vague a question. Loud "good" music would make me feel pumped. Loud "bad" music irritates me. Comments: This material and these questions made me give the "hearing thing" a bit of thought.

Wow, that's a huge oversimplification of each color's flavor. You should check out MaRo's five articles from mtg.com which describes each color's flavor and motivations in full. White's a lot deeper than "stands for little creatures". All the colors have deep flavor wells. Vengeance is one aspect of both red and white. Not so much black, though. I'm not sure why people are saying vengeance is part of black's flavor.
I think that there is no way this card is red. just look at the picture: its either black or white based on that, and since 2 previews down is the black kirin, we can use our logic. this card is white.
As a mechanic, from the story pump seems like the way to go and with the vengeance theme how bout this :
whenever a creature you control is put into a graveyard from play, put a +1/+1 counter on each creature you control.
it gets around the problem of only mentioning the name once, whaddya think?

1) His proper name's Kataki
2) "War's Wage" is the title of his story on the WoTC site
3) Kataki, War's and Wage each gets one hit on the Orb.
If you want anything more than that, you're being a bit choosy IMHO.
Thanks for the awesome sig Topher!

It does, but the story doesn't give the impression that this guy pumps anyone but himself.
No, but you can tell by the art. Just look at them. I'm sure you can find a card with a similar style/setting from CoK or BoK.
I had yet to see the unfiltered art...
sorry for my sarcasm, but it seemed a bit arrogent @ the time
It doesn't have to be unfiltered. That filtering is barely anything.
