It seems that our source has one of the pre-cons (based on the scan i am having difficulty showing you!).
Some more names of cards:
Akki Underling
Kitsune Bonesetter (both have something to do with cards in hand)
Sink into takenuma (has sweep - makes the opponent discard a card for each swamp you return to hand).
More as I get it!
Please, a penny for anyone's thoughts... its all coming in now!!!
For one thing, having the card AND a scan, one might imagine they'd have a p/t for the critter.
Ninja edit - er, if he has this precon, why can he only NAME the other cards? Shouldn't he, er, you know, have them right in front of him to scan and write out.
That doesn't look very real; there's no P/T on the card, name seems kinda weird, and if he has the pre-cons, why isn't he giving more?

Sing lustily and with good courage.
Be aware of singing as if you were half dead,
or half asleep:
but lift your voice with strength.
Be no more afraid of your voice now,
nor more ashamed of its being heard,
than when you sang the songs of Satan.
soramaro = 3....
ghost-lit = 12.
either this guy got very lucky with the orb or it's for real. of course the given text only accounts for 2 instances. How strange.
i like the maro reference.
Implications of a Soratami ability being on a spirit?
Can we get a link? Also did they say they have Scans?
Regardless this is probably real, everything checks out with the Orb assuming that Soramaro is in the favor text. Maro again, hehe. Also Verbal is a mod, right? Has he taken over for R_E over there?
Anyway this seems real...
Um...A three color Pre-Con? Have they ever done that?
soramaro=3
Interesting, maybe another card with soramaro in it or is this a fake card on mtgnews?
I'm very redundant, I still wonder why it say soramaro 3 times, but only two on the card.

Flavor text my friend, Flavor Text. Also why is everyone questioning why we do not have P/T? We do, it is equal to the number of cards in hand....
Channel: not quite as above. Basically a sort of cycling without the cycling part.
Example: Ghost lit redeemer costs W. But you can 'channel' it from you hand for 1W - and if you do, it turns into 4 life. I think you discard it when doing this, and it seems to be uncounterable. From the orb, ghost lit and channel appear the same number of times (12) so maybe all the ghost lit cards have channel.
Sweep:
Basically, these are scaleable effects which allow you to return a certain number of a certain kind of land for a bigger effect.
Epic: <some big effect>. You may not play any more spells this game. At the start of each of your (upkeeps? mainphases?) put a copy of this on the stack.
I will say that's there's an aburdly high number of "copy" so I was fairly certain a mechanic had to involve it. Was kinda expecting "Copy this spell and return it to you hand" sorta thing though. There's also a high incidence of upkeep which I had as about the right number for Epic, but then I though it had something to so with the high number of counters and modifiers. Maybe shinen will explain that though I don't quite see how. shrug.
Turns out the sweep thing was true I suppose.
Quote from Go to Combat Phase »
While at local card store for a draft tonight, a guy who often plays in there and also happens to work for a printing company where they print magic cards mentioned a new mechanic called, I believe, "sweep" where you return lands to your hand to improve an effect. For example, the one he mentioned was a white card where you return X lands to your hand to give target creature +X/+X until end of turn. (may have been situational, but he couldn't remember) Anyways, I can't post scans or anything, because I didn't actually get to see any cards, but this is someone I trust, and who I would not expect to make this kind of thing up.
True on the P/T, although it is clearly */*, surely. And any mis-spelling on soramaro I suggest may have been on your part - the orb gives me three hits (which is name, ability, flavourtext).
The scan is of a page of info about the set - It is merely my guess it comes from the soratami wisdom pre-con. I'd guess that based on a couple of things - but you'll have to wait for the scan.
So those other three cards are just named on the scans as example names of cards in the set with various abilities.
I won't say for certain that this info is legit. But it has more legs than you give it credit for.
edit: and if it doesn't count flaour text, I bet there is a card called 'soramaro's wisdom' or similar which is, say, UU2 arcane draw 2 card or some such. (that is, by the way, speculation).
For one thing, having the card AND a scan, one might imagine they'd have a p/t for the critter.
*/*
Ninja edit - er, if he has this precon, why can he only NAME the other cards? Shouldn't he, er, you know, have them right in front of him to scan and write out.
Well, now, that is a tougher question. I'm calling REAL at the moment but I understand your skepticism
Except the Orb doesn't do Flavor Text. The toughness would be */* and the source didn't put it down I'll guess.
Hm....Shows what I know. Maybe the wording is off or another card does refere to it.....Also was does News still get info before us? Well it is of no matter, any rumors are better than no rumors.
Why are people stuck on it not showing a P/T? It specifically says that it has P/T equal to the # of cards in your hand..so they didn't list the */* at the bottom. Soramaro is clearly real, and the last Orb reference to it would obviously just be in reference to a different card.
I'm calling true on Epic. It's very much in line with the promo poster being discussed in another thread here. ("If you could cast one spell for the rest of your life...")

I agree. This seems to be a fairly viable rumor. Thank you anonymous benefactor I hope to be seeing more soon.
I'm calling real, since "Dream" and "Dream's" both show up once in the Orb( the first for the title, the second for "Soramaro, the First Dream's power and toughness..." ). The chance of a faker finding "Soramaro", "Dream", and "Dream's" in the Orb while browsing is just too small.
Edit: The card looks even more real after considering that its name means "Sky MaRo", which fits it perfectly.
just for clarity: the scan I've been sent looks like one of those fold-out inserts that goes into precons. It names a small number of random cards and only very broadly discusses their abilities.
I'll admit I should have read more carefully as far as the p/t goes...
Hmm, given the few fixes, I'm going to lean real, especially with the Orb saying Bonesetter had 1 result.
EDIT - meh, even with ALL of that, I'm going undecided... there's evidence that it is real, and several things that scream to me it's not... feel free to form your own opinions though.
Soramaro: Hee hee, Soratami + Maro. This seems quite the green ability from history, but I could understand it being moved into blue. Nice synergy, very cool card.
Sweep: I don't think this terminology is widely used enough to warrant not using it for a mechanic. Interesting, sacrificing tempo for card advantage. Has potential, but also seems very blue, with the moonfolk...

I take it said source has asked you not to post these scans?
No - i just have a terrible connection and am having difficulty doing so. But we will have them on the front page later today (although they may be a bit tiny - crud connection, as I say.)
