Why on earth did the preconstructed deck designer put the Free-Riders in a deck with only SIX white creatures?!
I agree. Well we get yet another incomprehensible choice for a precon. Atleast this card is OK in some decks. Might see play in ww as a mid sized flyer if the meta has lots of Hideous Laughters.

so is the envoys abilaty permenant if so thats just so AWESOME it takes blue controll to a whole new level forget about countering his creature spells let him use up mana and cards while u turn his creature into useless walls...no need to worry about kokusho with this guy. if he attacks return a land and give him a permenatnt -3/-0 to -5/-0
Freed from the Real seems like it has some good potential in limited, especially in U/W or U/R. Untap my frostwielder 5 times? Sure. Untap my Kabuto moth 5 times? Sure.
Mmm... :symu::symu::symu::symu::symu::Target creature gets +5/+10 until end of turn.
I'd say so ,without a doubt. Wonder if they'll be prepared for it come the Prerelease? Could lead to some crazy disputes if it isn't.
Usually permanent p/t changes will use +/- counters for clear presentation.
Usually uncommon wouldn't be that powerful... but God know why rancor is a common?
:cough:
Offical errata would be announced on FAQ, as they did to paralex wave.
What a careless mistake overlooked.

Art means ALL. Who cares what's in the textbox?
I do not sign 5yr+ old cards. Please do not pm me for this.

Wizards no longer creates new cards which put any power/toughness modifying counters on creatures except +1/+1 counters. No more -2/-1 contagion counters, no more -1/-1 Unstable Mutation counters. Therefore, they wouldn't make a new card with -1/-0 counters.
The way I see it there are two possible scenarios:
1. The templating team missed the reminder text "(this effect doesn't end at end of turn)" which they usually put on effects like that
2. The templating team missed the text "until end of turn" which sounds less likely to me since that's rules text and not reminder text.
i REALLY want to like eiganjo free riders...but im not sure about its drawback.
is there any white creatures with a good CiP ability???
oh and whats with that red 1/1..on the surface it seems completely inferior to raging goblin which is 1/1 haste but doenst have to return at end of turn...
what uses could this new one have? it has good synergy with goblin cohort and it gets around pyroclasm i guess...
....Venerable Monk? I don't think white's exactly a god of CiP.

I sure hope that Oboro Envoy's ability is not a misprint cause thats awesome!
and i feel so sad for Kiri-Onna because all the art in the set is awesome except for hers. She's the aerobics instructor for Kamigawa huh? i guess every worlds gotta have one

Raging Goblin doesn't trigger spiritcraft. Red doesn't really have the best spiritcraft but... Also, the art is better.
It better not be. 3U for a 1/3 flying that doesn't do much unless the effect is permanent, an uncommon? Bleh.

Don't think so really, because in the precon insert, it says that three creatures incluiding Oboro, would have the treatment of "wisdom" and then same creatures that made impossible to attack, make impossible the block. So maybe wizards screwed up with the reminder text to all of us, or didn't thought that we would have a problem for not having reminder text at all!
Thanks man, the blue Onna looks like its going to be nice for limited(repeatable creature bounce usually is) and the counter is expensive but interesting, i'm going to have to test it but i think it might be playable in block(if only because its the best instant speed card draw we've seen) pay 4UU counter Kokusho draw 6 cards = worth a try imho.

It isn't just reminder text. "Until end of turn" is rules text. If it doesn't say "until end of turn," then it lasts forever. See the Oracle text for, say, Cocoon:
At the beginning of your upkeep, remove a pupa counter from Cocoon. If you can’t, sacrifice it and enchanted creature gets +1/+1 and gains flying. (This effect doesn’t end at end of turn.)
Absolutely. But Oboro Envoy should have either the rules text "until end of turn" or the reminder text "(This effect doesn't end at end of turn.)" Whichever's missing, they've messed up.
Gee I never noticed that. Oh well.
Anyway, Keiga, the Tide Star does not have the reminder text, either, when it comes to gaining control of a creature. So it must be permanent. But they should've added something to this one because I have a feeling people will assume it's "until end of turn" without reading it, like I did.

"The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing."
OMG! Thank you for enlightening me. I read Oboro Envoy as "until end of turn" because I am used to the reminder text of permanent, non-token effects. If that effect is permanent, we finnaly have a second great moonfolk to go with Meloku. Maybe they have decided to remove the reminder text on cards like this.
BTW-If I use the envoy's ability with 11 cards in hand on a Darksteel Collosus and I then have to discard down to 7 cards. Does the Collosus still have -11 power even if I no longer have 11 cards in my hand or does it only have -7 power as that is the number of cards in my hand now???

if the abilaty is permenant (we will see in the errata one day) then the collusus will still have -11/-0

Plus, the whole point of this new red one is so that your hand size remains large.
