So I'm here at the local Chinese takeaway with my laptop *again*, and a whole bunch of fortune cookies to open...
Let's begin... *crack* OMG!!!!
Nimbus Maze (Futureshifted) Land Tap: Add 1 to your mana pool... Tap:...
WTF? Oh wait, better open the next one... *crack*
Tap: Add U to your mana pool. play this ability only if you control a Plains. Tap...
!!! O.k, one more...
Tap: Add W to your mana pool. Play this ability only if you control an Island. 'To find its center is to find one's own' Rare.
So all up that makes it...

WOW!!! I better order another tray of these badboys!
Ah, so these are the new "dual" lands. I like 'em, even though they take a bit to get online. They could easily see play and make mana fixing in block much easier. Theis one is still the allied colors, so unless they print all ten, we probably will only get allied colored "friend lands" (please note, I said it first). -Jack
Hm... so sort of like a back and forth Tainted Land. With the "gainland" rumor, is it possible we will have a "cycle" of duals each with different abilities?
Also, I like this. It fixes your mana very well, since if you already have U it can make W, and vise versa. I'd say somewhere between the pains and the nuduals in terms of power level. Expect to see this replacing some Adarkar Wastes in UW control decks that care about that ping of damage.

As for the card itself, I like it. Turn 1 Hallowed Fountain, turn two Nimbus Maze is tech. Of course, I'm more likely to use the BR version if there is one, but that's mainly because I happen to agree with the Cult of Rakdos on many philosophic points.
Cool Card!! It's a shame it only works particularly well if you have a dual out, since it doesn't colour fix that well, thanks!!!
Au contraire, it color fixes perfectly, IMO. It produces the coloured mana you don't have already, which means you don't get stuck with being flooded by one type of mana when you need the other, which is just what you need for consistency in a multicolored deck: to make sure that you've always got both manatypes available.
Unfortunately, with FS's set design, this is probably the only one of these. The other multilands are likely to be entirely different.

The "gainlands" speculation was, looking at the numbers, wrong, and these are the lands everyone was wondering about. They won't have different abilities besides tapping for mana based on what lands are in play since it's a cycle. -Jack

God, I feel like an ass now.
Ah, crap, that's probably true. This land seems really good and I like the way it fixes mana so well, I would hope they make this an actual cycle and not a one-of with other weird allied-pair lands. Here's to hoping for an actual future-shifted cycle. Though, even if it doesn't happen, this still works really well for the U/W Control I've been wanting to build. Also, the art is beautiful. Nothing to flashy or showy, but it looks really good. -Jack

well, yes, the card is obviously part of a cycle but I don't think they'd future shift an entire cycle. The will probably be a cycle of allied colored dual lands, but I don't think they will all work the same way. This one, a gain land, etc.

Actually, they're not. But you'll have to wait for more Jack.
Jack, given it is future shifted I wouldn't be in the least suprised to see 5 different duals printed. It makes a lot of sense in some ways, as a way to see which are balanced right before printing the whole shebang.

How do the numbers stack against the "Gainlands"? There was only supposed to be one of them. Which in turn fits with the RavLand cycle, in that the cycles all function differently.
For those that haven't noticed yet, I realized, just a bit too late, that my statement was horribly horribly askew. I completely forgot about how all the future-shifts showed off a one-of kind of thing. Check the edit. -Jack
I very much like the land. I think this is the way duals should be, for the most part. Rav Duals and the like pushed multi-color too far, but these are much MUCH more flavorful than the Tap lands, and feel better than the horribly over-done pain lands.

cute land...
speculation:
what if we got 10 kind of dual lands here?
We won't. Only 5. THere's 10 lands max in Future Sight, and 5 of them are already taken up by the RavLands. So it'll be a cycle of 5 future-shifted allied-colour duals.

Current "Number Crunching" shows 12 lands.
Will probably be a cycle of allied lands that work differently than previous duals, but each one is different than the next.

Boy, my posts looked bare before I got a signature.
Now, that's what I'm talking about. Good design, new twist and pain free. Very good land even if a bit too clumsy for 3-color decks. In a two-color deck, these should work just fine, perhaps even better than painlands in extended with the availability of both fetch and shocklands. Good one.

Which is odd, since I'm male.

WG is probably the gainland as they are the "Life Gain" colors.
5= cycle of rav abilities, comes into play tapped

Anyways about the card I like it a lot its very powerful and very neat.
Feel free to bid on my cards here!
Oops, haven't kept up to date with the number people. Still, not enough design space for a full dual set.
