Really, really cool land. In almost any situation I can think of, I'd prefer this over one of the Rav duals, actually, given the way I usually build decks.
Could someone please enlighten me as to this "Gainland" rumor that seems to be going around?
There was speculation about an anti-painland that, instead of dealing one damage to you, gained an opponent one life and were so dubbed as "Gainlands." -Jack
Gainlands are supposed to be the opposite of Painlands.
The do "T: Add C to your mana pool. Each opponent gains 1 life."
I think it may be more then 1 life though if its a mirror image to say Brushland then your right. Giving only one life makes it 2x better then a painland in most decks id say.
i MUST have a playset of this!!! ^^
i am pretty sure the cloud art is for this land, and the abilities are rather nice.perfect for balancing mana in a multicolor deck.

nice card... it very powerful mana fixing and nice interaction with the rav duals... let's just hope that we get to see a cycle for these lands in the future... but if this is the only one shifted in FS, i just wonder why they chose U/W instead of the other combinations...
I think Hydro just sealed my assumption that they've had a full spoiler for a couple of weeks now and are trying something new with a more steady approach to get hype up. Possibly even a legit leak =D I hope this is part of some deal worked out with WotC to promote the sets and still encourage rumors, and I really do like this agonizingly sandbagging approach of whetting our appetities. Keep it up.

I don't think they have a full spoiler, but I think they have every bolded card listed on the number crunch thread.

Boy, my posts looked bare before I got a signature.
Frankly, I hate it. If he has the entire set, why drag it out? If you don't want the set spoiled, why are you on a board dedicated to spoilers? It just doesn't make sense to me. But hey, I'm not him. I'm sure he has his logic.

Perhaps he has an agreement with the source of the info and would like to use the source in the future so he doesn't want to piss them off?

Don't worry Hydro, I believe in your series of strange coincidences and odd Chinese confections!
Oh how great a full ten cycle of these lands would be. Well, there's still Xth/Lorwyn block/Rock block yet to come, and all the blissful possibilities...
Who cares? It's a great thing to get any news at all before we're supposed to. It's exciting to have a few more pieces of the puzzle each day as we approach the release.
Exactly. If they literally release a full spoiler with images and all up front, then obviously WotC would have an easier time tracking down exactly how this leak happened. But to do it card by card, its a lot harder.
Works like this. Hand a friend a huge bag of cards and have him walk through the door of a shop. I'm sure the shop will notice this guy walking out with a huge bag of merch they haven't payed for. Now hand him one card, then continue handing one card per person for a thousand people. You just got a thousand cards out with no fuss.
Just the first example I could come up with, but it makes sense. I'd much rather see these guys not in trouble and still doing what we love then to have their families and themselves suffer for something we inevitably enjoy partaking in.

Nimbus Maze is really Skycloud Expanse in disguise. Expanse didn't see play in most decks because it's not usable turn one and it won't help you get two mana of the same color a lot of the time. Both of these drawbacks are present in Nimbus Maze. I imagine this will fall to the same price range as the Odyssey signetlands, much to the delight of anyone with a budget U/W deck.
Actually I beg to disagree Skycloud Expanse is far far weaker. First off this taps for colorless mana skycloud does not. If i blow up all your other lands sides Skycloud you now have 0 mana.
If this did not tap for colorless and required a 2nd land to be out then they would be much more similar. It also does not force you to burn if you don't need the other mana.
Say I want to cast boomerang and I have an Island a Plains and a Skycloud Expanse. I now need to burn for 1 assuming I don't have mana for that 1 white extra I am going to get.
This is more versatile and far more powerful while it may not be a powerhouse of price card it will be worth more then those piles of trash.

I think any recurring LD spell will be like this....
6RR
Sorcery
Destroy Target Land. When this spell resolves put 3 time counters on it and suspend it.
4RR Suspend 3
Maybe thats a bit expensive but a free recurring LD spell has to be its far far too powerful. Against a lot of decks and coupled with real LD could easily shut someone down.
But yeah Terramorphic Expanse is gonna be really good soon get your copies now!! Luckily its a common so no mad rush to get it lol.
Monopoman, I have no Idea how you got thinking about an LD spell that suspends itself again, but for this cycle we already got the red card from one of the french magazines.
I was reading what LAZ was talking about for a post Rav Blink Riders deck. But yeah I forgot that it won't happen cause of the red one being burn and thats the only one lol. But I felt my resuspending LD spell is balanced lol.
Back on MTGnews, I used to run a game called I Dare You!... well, one week I had people make cards based on the name Desolate Wastelands... and this is one of the entries that won:
II Confused-
Desolate Wastelands
Land
T: Add 1 to your mana pool.
T: Add W to your mana pool, play this ability only if you control a swamp.
T: Add B to your mana pool, play this ability only if you control a plains.
Not that I'm suggesting that WotC stole from II Confused, just bringing up something I immediately thought of when I saw the card. Also, this comes from the early 2000's... just so you know
I really hope there's a cycle of at least 5 lands like this one, it's not a Ravdual but it's not bad either, I personally think they'll print the whole circle since TS is seriously lacking in the colorfixing department (the storage lands are normally too slooow to be considered colorfixing), these lands would give allied color decks a way to fix their mana but without allowing for much multicolor madness in block, and may pop up in T2 decks as well since they're VERY synergistic with duals
the idea of each new dual land having individual abilities is pretty refreshing. I just hope that they're designed well enough to keep them balanced with each other.

Vizzerdrix Count = 183, 3 in Italian, 2 Foil
Opposite of painlands. You tap for a colored mana and the opponent gains some amount of life. That's all that is "known" right now.
I think it may be more then 1 life though if its a mirror image to say Brushland then your right. Giving only one life makes it 2x better then a painland in most decks id say.

still being future shifted, I kinda not expect to see it anytime soon in the coming block, since that block supposedly promotes monochrome decks

I guess that the "mana slot" on the left-hand side of the card is probably completely missing from lands?
If this did not tap for colorless and required a 2nd land to be out then they would be much more similar. It also does not force you to burn if you don't need the other mana.
