Wouldnt you get two at least for the Twincast and then the Tendrils? Or is the Tendrils put directly into play?
The copy is put directly onto the stack upon resolution of Twincast. This is why, back in Kami-block constructed, if you Twincasted something that had been spliced onto you get the splice text as well.

If anyone knows why G0-DRAW was banned I would love it if they would PM me. That guy was pure entertainment 100% of the time. Plus he never publicly responded to his Contraptions "Proof" that never panned out.
"If I do go to heaven, I'll smack god across the face and tell him to get me a grilled-cheeses sandwhich and then say 'Yea what now god!? Say some'in! I dare you!' "
"Yes, finally something for my D-storm decks in the Dralnu matchup!"
I don't know what else it's good for.
But isn't D-storm going out of the window with the suspected disappearance of seething song oO?

remember your twincasted copy goes ontop of the stack, its a more aggressive card, i'd expect to see it if any fish type decks pop up, especially any red/blue fish
now all they need to do is reprint jitte and gifts and we can have kami block all over again
joking aside, 10th is looking to be awsome....does that mean wizards needs to sell more boosters? or because they finally realized making crappy coresets doesnt really help the game?
i am still not forgiving them for the BoP thing

Nitpick-Twincast retains the spell's color, though; Twincast copies the original color, meaning that it can avoid CoPs unlike Fork, although this is often irrelevant.
I'm still annoyed they made Reiterate borderline unplayable with its casting cost, partly because I can think of interesting things to do with it but mostly because I've drawn three in packs and can't shift any of them. It seems odd to me to turn Fork blue, since if anything Wizards has been emphasising the copy/retargeting abilities of red more now than when the card was first printed.
Nothing that rises my expectations of Xth in this batch of cards. Twincast is nice but not amazing, the others were already known. Still hoping for that wow card...

Forgive me if I'm just walking right into this one, but how, exactly, is Twincast a counterspell?
I mean, unless you copy Discombobulate with it or something. It's kind of like saying Clone is the best control finisher in the set.
Well, you do realize that ALOT of instants/sorceries it does actually work almost 100% like a counterspell, not just direct cases.
For example, I block - you Giant Growth (or insert a good pump card there) - Twincast targetting my blocker - same resolution barring some extra unlikely interaction as a counterspell.
It's a bit deeper, and as such a bit more random - but still its pretty much a counterspell quite often (esp. in limited).
As for it working with Storm - last I checked the Storm trigger still works I thought - just you wouldn't get credit for other casts still on the stack I thought? It should copy the full card text and trigger everything as if it was the original card.
i.e. Opponent casts a ToA for a storm of 10, you'll get 10 as well since his ToA isn't done resolving. (and if you scoot it in between his triggers it won't matter either, since those are copies, not casts)
But isn't D-storm going out of the window with the suspected disappearance of seething song oO?
What I meant to insinuate is that D-storm players are looking for any little glimmer of hope that suggests their archetype will still be viable after the Xth rotation. And, that people were maybe a little bit too excited about this card, mistakenly thinking that a bit of sideboard tech could make up for WotC eviscerating the heart out of the deck (Seething Song). But hey, people seem to like it for other reasons. So, cool. Rock on.
It is a pretty sweet card, from a casual / Johnny perspective. I think it's awesome that they're printing it. I'm just saying that its Constructed applications are going to be close to nil unless some MUC / UXC archetype waxes powerful and players need a mana-cost edge in the counter wars. If your purpose is simply combo protection, there are better choices.

Storm triggers "when you play this spell". The copy created by Twincast isn't played, it's put directly onto the stack, so the storm trigger of the copy won't trigger. No storm for you.
Remember, copies of spells aren't considered "played" unless the effect that does the copying specifically instructs you to "play" the copy. Isochron Scepter and Eye of the Storm say "play the copy", so a copy of Brain Freeze from one of those cards would trigger the storm effect. Twincast and Djinn Illuminatus don't say "play the copy", so they don't trigger storm.
Some other information from Scrye: (I just got mine in the mail)
Weatherlight is supposedly being released online on July second (This seems like something we'd already know, but I hadn't seen it elsewhere)
It pretty much confirms four sets for Lorwyn in my mind. Rosewater says that, "With Lorwyn, there is a huge, fundamental change in the way Wizards does Magic sets, an unwritten rule that is going to be broken"
To fuel the new card type debate: "There is going to be a real brand-new card type in Lorwyn. It's not a subtype. [...] It'll play differently than any other card type and Wizards will be dedicating rules cards to explain what this new card type does."
What exactly did they say about that holiday set? Could it be a set that's like extended+ only, not for std. This could be where all the goodies are going(duress, counterspell...).

Kagemaro wasn't so bad... I remember winning quite a few games with that critter... I'd love to see him back. Too bad it wouldn't happen.
I thought of more cards related to Twincast shenanigans I thought I might share.
@rrwoods: You do realize that it is an exact copy? Right? Tendrils of Agony.
Anyway examples of how Twincast relates to standard
Mill
Glimpse the Unthinkable
Tramatize
The beacons
Beacon of Immortality
Beacon of Unrest
Beacon of Destruction
Removal
Condemn
Tendrils of Corruption
Burn
Counterspells
Draw...
The list can go on I think. I'll mention a couple more.
Empty the Warrens
Sudden Impact
I wish the title of the thread would change.

Storm is a Trigger off of playing the spell, Twincast puts a copy directly onto the stack and skips the step of playing the spell.
Beacons won't work. You will get to shuffle, but the Twincast is in the graveyard while your "copy" is on the stack.
