Ditto. All I could think of was "HOBBIT". Even the sword looks like Frodo's/Bilbo's Sting. *slaps self for geek alert*
Anywho, I liked the dragon token. I'm usually pretty biased about art, especially for something like a dragon, but it passes for a dragon token, since it's not a special dragon, really, like a Dragon Mage or anything. As just a vanilla 5/5 flyer, it looks appropiate.
Is it confirmed that the tokens and t&t cards are additional to the 15? Also, will there be foiled tokens? lol, Or even- FOIL T&T CARDS! YES!!!
On that note: never considered Spirit Linking an Orcish Artillery....
Yeah, tokens/tnts are the 16th card. MTG.com Podcast says so.

These Tips and Tricks cards are horrible and even worse than I expected! I especially hate the backs. Pasting an advertisement behind a token will make it worthless. Who'll ever want it now? I don't want to read about how to join a tournament. They could've at least made the backs look nice. I'm also surprised that so many cards were devoted to rules. I don't need to know about the phases of a turn or how to build a deck. The combos they provide are obvious and bad. I mean, do we need someone to tell us to give our cephalid constables flying? I'm very disappointed. I don't look forward to tenth as much now. Boo... save the trees.

Buy some card sleeves and stop your whining. I wish you were someone that played around my area so I could slap a TnT card on the table everytime you made a play mistake.
I wonder... With Lorwyn to be released sepember-october, and 10th being dsitributed for the next two years, Lorwyn preview, will have to be replaced... Thus probably all the bonus card might have a kind of rotation in time... Just a random thought.

LOL!
I would just slap them on the table and yell "BOOM GOES THE DYNAMITE!"
Get it? TnT? Dynamite?
Its good stuff.
Plus it would probably annoy the living hell out of him.
If anyone knows why G0-DRAW was banned I would love it if they would PM me. That guy was pure entertainment 100% of the time. Plus he never publicly responded to his Contraptions "Proof" that never panned out.

I really don't know why we have to keep telling people this. Maybe it's a learning deficiency or something.
The core set is for beginners. That's nice, you know the phases of a turn, and you know the combos. Beginners don't, and that's who this set is made for. That's why the core set gets that little "beginners" stamp on the packaging, and expansion sets have an "expert level" stamp.
As for the card backs... sheesh... are you really that desperate to find something to piss and moan about?

Shouldn't the tokens actually say "Creature Token — Blah blah blah"? You know, like Marit Lage?
Other than that, these tokens are beautiful looking. Especially the Wasp.
And these TnT cards should prove helpful in my quest to recruit new MTG players. We've been struggling for players at my FNM....

My sig is not trolling. And it's not opinion, it's fact.
And I'm not changing it. I'm not gonna be browbeated by a moderator, simply because you don't like the fact that I'm bringing to light that the staff suspends half-decent posters, while allowing trolls to run rampant.
Well, you've still got about fourteen hours before you're infracted for noncompliance. Talk to whomever you want.

"Creature Token - Saproling" would make Token a Type and Creature a Supertype (since Supertypes always precede a Type).
I think this change is more akin to the "Enchant Creature" = "Enchantment - Aura" change. "Enchant Creature" was more of an instruction rather than a card's Supertype/Type. Plus, going by the "Supertype(s) Type - Subtype" template, "Enchant Creature" was saying that the card had the Supertype "Enchant[ment]" and the Type "Creature." Obviously, a Type (Enchantment) cannot be a Supertype.
I think this is just a delayed reaction to their "Aura" change in 9th Edition.

Not at all. "Artifact Creature." All the tokens they've printed in this face before X have said "Creature Token" on the type line.
On the Enchant <foo> -> Aura change, the old way was that Enchantment was the type, but "Enchant <foo>" was the subtype -- they had the subtype printed on the card but not the type. There's a Gottlieb article right around the time of the change that explains all this.

But by your logic, Lucent Liminid is supertype enchantment and type creature.

Not at all. It wouldn't change anything. By that logic, Bound By Silence is supertype Tribal, type Enchantment, which it's not. Both are types.
Token is as much a type as "Creature" or "Artifact" is. It just doesn't appear alone. I think this is just a mistake on Wizard's part, honestly.

Hmm... you're right. That was a bit of short-sightedness on my part.
I see no reason why it shouldn't be a type, but still.

There is no reason for token to be a type at all. The physical composition of a game marker itself is completely sufficient to identify what is and is not a token.
How? Simple: A card, is a card; a token, is a token. It doesn't really go any deeper than that.
Really, what the hell would we gain with token being a type? I can't see how it would change any part of the rules or any other card they could conceivably print. Referring to "tokens" is just the same as referring to "tokens" (OMG!) and if it were a supertype, they'd have to say "token permanents."

Only problem- I wish Reya's promo was an alternate art, like Korlash, Avatar of Discord, etc... Makes it so much cooler.

Get your x4 before the price jets.
The deck constrution tips are gold for noobs.
I'm glad also to see a sideboard tips and tricks. I remember reading the Duelist thinking, "WTH is a sideboard?"
There is no prerelease for Xth. Only a release event on "Magic Game Day."
Yes, but if you look at all of the release cards, you'll see that none of them have alternate art, just a weird kind of foiling.
Then you aren't who they're intended for, are they?
