I like the Tips and Tricks cards... so long as they do not take the place of my common =P The tokens are cool I guess, but i tend to use coins or beads.. so there only the artwork going for me...
I don't see the blue token....
Edit: I realise there is no blue token..... hmmm could'nt they do illusion??? sighz
Of all the Tips and Tricks cards, I think the 'Parts of the Turn' and 'The Stack' will be the two most important cards to give to a new player... The two-card combos are too intuitive for the card space printed on, and the 'Legends and Tokens' card is half useful. I think there should be cards detailing how some of the more complicated abilities (regeneration and trample) work.
I can only say that they should have printed T&T and tokens on sides of the same card. Would have made everyone happier.
Nah, pretty sure Magic backs for tokens would've made people happier. Of course, my tokens will be sleeved anyway so it doesn't really matter I suppose...you know, like championship deck cards with the gold borders coloured black...

I get the idea that the 2 card combos teach new players that certain cards do can form combos. But as many had pointed out, after realizing that Looter and Squee go together, you wont do anything about the card.
The "turn order" card is a good card BTW.
Some T&T cards I expected that didnt appear:
- a summary of keywords
- Color pie!
It could consist of 5 cards you can join together (in a circular fan) that can forn the pie!
at least the cards are typeset and laid out very professionally. im actually impressed with the tips and tricks cards' design. even if they are a little redundant/useless/unneeded for anyone over beginners' level. the tokens are nice looking. i would like to be reassured that the 16th cards are actually cards and not cheaper paper than on the genuine cards. for whatever reason, i just dont want my tokens feeling like i cut them out of a magazine...
Just a sidenote...from the inserts, it is apparent that both Arcane Teachings and Benalish Knight are getting new art. I'd almost bet on Boros&Szikszai for the Knight - it feels much like Whitemane Lion or Blazing Archon, and when looking at the long artist line, I am almost sure.

I tried to get my local store to open the box of 10th that they got in yesterday, but no luck.
That dragon token will be the most expensive of the 6 token cards simply because (a) it's a dragon and (b) it has great artwork. I doubt any serious player will even use the card that pumps them out, but everyone will want a full page of the tokens.

I don't think your local store was supposed to show you they even got one...although it was nice to open the mail and find a box and 64 foil Reya Dawnbringers

No I think Goblin will be the most expensive because they will be/are the most used ones.

hey i have managed to evolve my axolotls by feeding them thyroid glands the thyroxine contained in these gland is enough to change these water dwelling creatures into land based creatures

Tay, that's not evolution. It's metamorphosis. Evolution means descent with heritable modification – individuals cannot evolve, unless they're Pokemon.

Well, that's what happens when you open your deliveries in front of the customers.
I don't think it matters that people know the store has a box in, all that matters is that the store doesn't break street date by selling / giving away any packs or individual cards.
I knew they wouldn't open the box, though. They haven't gone through everything yet, but they're assuming that it's prize support for the 14th.

Yeah, the whole package is prize support for the 14th. I believe there's supposed to be another package coming too with a teach people magic demo kit and 1 of each precon

...especially considering that in standard playing a single Empty the Warrens card tends to put 8 to 16 goblins into play.
The best Tips & Tricks card is definitely the "Parts of the Turn" card, but also of importance is "When to Play Spells and Abilities" and "The Stack".
I personally would like a lot of the "When to Play Spells and Abilities" cards in order to throw at people whenever they immediately play out as many instants (like an early game Incinerate targeting a player) and activated abilities (like Prodigal Pyromancer's ability) as soon as they can during their own main phase.
Overall, the whole scene looks a bit like from LotR...
Ditto. All I could think of was "HOBBIT". Even the sword looks like Frodo's/Bilbo's Sting. *slaps self for geek alert*
Anywho, I liked the dragon token. I'm usually pretty biased about art, especially for something like a dragon, but it passes for a dragon token, since it's not a special dragon, really, like a Dragon Mage or anything. As just a vanilla 5/5 flyer, it looks appropiate.
Is it confirmed that the tokens and t&t cards are additional to the 15? Also, will there be foiled tokens? lol, Or even- FOIL T&T CARDS! YES!!!

Sweet, not bad artwork. I think the dragon token will be fairly sought after by all the dragon collectors out there.
.
Other than that - the tokens are cool ofc.
