Yeah, and 9th was Force of Nature. I'm just glad it's a card that will bring me in to play for once! I will say though, 9th limited was actually quite fun!
edit, you know I dont know why, but Im getting this strange urge to say Mishra's Factory just might be reprinted. I thought, its got to be reserved and it sure has heck isnt, so maybe Im having a vision.
I was thinking that too, but I suspect Blinkmoth Nexus is more likely, since it's more recent, and R&D has gone MD5 crazy.
I could literally not be happier that these manlands speficially are being reprinted regardless of whether the others will be reprinted, although I did really enjoy Ghitu Encampment....
Musings of my teenage love affair with Village and Encampment aside, I just foind playsets of both Conclave and Village in my giant old box of unsorted commons/uncommons.....
Please, accept that Magic costs money to play, and drop it. A playset of Baneslayers>playset of duals. New Jace>Force of Will. Etc... Not to mention, Legacy is so wide open, that it's easy to build a deck that can perform reasonably well without very many "money staples" at all.
Actually I would be happy for Mishra's Factory to be reprinted again. It was a fun little card in it's time and I want to make a casual deck with them and sword of the Meek

As for lands being reprinted, i would like to see reflecting pool, undiscovered paradise, and city of brass make the call. If not bring back the lair lands (for the 3 or more color decks). Personally, it's time to give the pain lands a rest for a while. With the shock lands leaving, Xed. needs something strong but not too broken. Creature lands that has been threaded above, WOTC would have to bring back wasteland and we all thats not going to happen unless they need a super $$$ card that we will all see in every standard deck.
Lair lands are horrible and I believe they are far underpowered for todays T2. They didn't even see play back in the day no point to force stuff down peoples throats they don't want.
Especially since the current looks on this looks like most powerful base set since Unlimited or Revised.
Man Lands are a step in the right direction along with the other power cards coming like mogg fanatic, Incinerate, Troll Ascetic.
Its funny how some people want a base set to be bad the meta right now is quite powerful but balanced at its core power can be balanced if its spread around.
I agree that lair lands where not soooo good in the day. But something different than pain lands. Xed need to put something in todays play that has very little drawback.
That was a prerelease card. Release cards are usually uncommon, such as Sudden Shock, Hedge Troll, and Storm Entity. Therefore it would be strange if Reya was the release card, as a rare. Although, they could possibly make her uncommon.

Rukh Egg was not the prerelease card. It was the Release card, just like Force of Nature. Core Sets do not have prerelease tournaments, because every card in a Core Set had previously been "released". Your logic applies to expansion sets but not to Core Sets.
The reason why a prerelease tournament exists is to show off cards that have not been released. That's why Core Sets do not have them.
I played Ghitu Encampment in my Wildfire deck back when type 2 was frozen over.
Man, those were the days.
In Ninth Edition, there were 4 non-basic lands that weren't duals. The Tron, and Quicksand. So if, and I'm speculating the if here, the full rotation on man-lands hits, plus the blinkmoth, Stalking Stones or factory, could we not see dual lands in this set? I mean, there seems to be a lot more mana-fixing cards in more recent expansions, Birds of Paradise being one that moved from the core set to an expansion.
Perhaps they're moving away from duals?
(again, speculation. Please prove me wrong. I don't want to lose my duals XD)
EDIT:
Keep the old art. Please.
I don't want crappy new man-land art.
This has gotten me excited at the possibility of my favorite card, Mishra's Factory, getting reprinted as well. It was in 4th edition, and it isn't on the restricted list, so it could happen. I don't see it as being all that broken (as in metagame warping), just very good and played a lot. I think it could fit a cycle of...1 of each color, and 1 artifact/colorless, or 5 uncommons and 1 rare (I don't know why that would form a pattern, but it just feels like it makes sense :confused2:). And yeah, I think that this time around Mishra's Factory would definitely be rare, since Blinkmoth Nexus, a nerfed Factory, was rare. At the very least, I'd like to see Blinkmoth Nexus get reprinted. Just a question, but who would like to see new artwork for the Factory if it is reprinted? I do like the Foglios' artwork, but I'd also like to see what another artist might be able to do with it. Hell, I'll just be ecstatic if they bring it back, with or without new artwork.
The nostalgic part of me is happy that Reya Dawnbringer is making a comeback. She was the centerpiece of the angel-themed deck I built when I first started playing :D.

You just said it yourself: if something gets reprinted, it's gonna be Blinkmoth nexus, not Mishra's Factory
I'll second this. Mishra's factory is way too strong as a man-land. But I'll end this by saying that I was amongst those saying that Psionic blast and Tormod's crypt were never going to be re-printed
You just said it yourself: if something gets reprinted, it's gonna be Blinkmoth nexus, not Mishra's Factory
Well, you're probably right, but I am still hoping for the Factory, even if it is a vain hope. Maybe it could be something to entice older players? A lot of people have nostalgia associated with the Factory, and I think a lot of people would be happy to see it back, myself included. Blinkmoth Nexus, while it is a neat card and another of my favorites (second by far to the Factory though), I don't think it would have the same effect.
Honestly, Mishra's Factory is a powerful man-land, no doubt, but I don't think that it is too powerful with the current card pool. It would be played a lot, and it would still be very good in the environment, but I just don't see people panicking and groaning about it like they did with Jitte (I'm not comparing the cards, just using the situation as an example, for the record ;)). I might be a little worried with Crucible coming back though, but they reprinted Treetop Village and Faerie Conclave, the two best (in my opinion) Urza's Legacy manlands, so I don't know. Eh, we'll see, I guess. Odds are probably against Factory coming back, but I would still love to see it, and there is still a decent possibility. If they do, I'm building 43Land.dec (or as close as possible) ASAP ^_^.

Heh.. Reya is gonna drop in price like a stone. It was one of those cards that newer players just love. Now since its a pre-release card every single person will have one.

who says that if we get new art on the man lands, it'll be crappy? you never know, they may tap john avon or kev walker to do the art for them. i'd be happy w/ the old art as well, but just because it's new and different, doesn't mean it's crappy. it might even be better.
as much as i like the old art of all 3 cards i cant say that i dont think they wont make new art. i have my thoughts that theres gonna be a lot of cards with their old art on them instead of new art. normally when a card is printed Black bordered it gets new art. maybe thats the broken rule

What?
The broken rule is about set design, and is about Lorwyn.
We already have MANY new arts being commissioned for 10th, and there does not seem to be any real pattern to them.
New arts for the manlands, that is certainly a possibility, and I could see it going either way.

indeed, reya will drop in price but the older one will still be worth more - maybe they'll make a new art out of it
If it would be a different art then it's possible that Xth Edition Reya can be on the same line as the Invasion one when it comes to price. However, it would be quite a decision since the Invasion art had so much of a following (to think that it was supposed to be jank-d) . :/

If factory did come back, it'd automatically need new art, since the current art is pre-mirage, and they can't re-use that art in a normal expansion (other than the Timeshifted cards, those got around it) without paying royalties to the artists.

I don't believe that the policy is necessarily that they refuse to do this, but rather that they avoid it except when they believe the marketing benefit of the old art is worth the cost. Still, in likelihood you are correct: we wouldn't see the old art for Mishra's Factory if it was reprinted.

I'm not really seeing the interaction there?
If we have the full legacy cycle of colored manlands, it seems unlikely they'd cram in a 6th.
Especially since the current looks on this looks like most powerful base set since Unlimited or Revised.

They'll probably be ridiculously cheesy, too. This is perfect.
