Nice design, however, as a "treefolk grave dude" he'd be more black. If you flavored him as growing saprolings in the rot of old, fallen trees (making for rich soil and whatnot) then it'd definitely be green. Also, a little undercosted IMO, should be at least 4 mana. Possibly an enchantment? (Note: Based on Night Soil)
Especially considering that the creature is intended to be used after a wrath, such a card would need to be at least 4 or 5 mana.
Seedsower 3G
Creature - Treefolk
When ~ comes into play, put a 1/1 Saproling token into play for each Treefolk card in your graveyard 1G, Remove a Treefolk card in your graveyard from the game: Treefolk creatures and Saproling creatures you control get +1/+1 until end of turn.
2/2
Note that with Tribal Spells, this guy's pretty much a sorcery speed Empty the Warrens with a 2/2 body. Certainly could see constructed play.
I forgot that you would of course just remove all your Treefolk as soon as summoning sickness was over FTW. Stoopid Joe. I like this card, but I don't think it would be overpowered at 2/4 and would make it feel more like a Treefolk slightly. 3G seems fine, plus the 1G to make it 3/5 and Tramply. I like it like it.

Why did I ever think a signature in comic sans was a good idea?
Green and black elves?! This feels like Ravnica all over again. I'm a little tired of the Golgari. Still, I'm happy to see merfolk and goblins in. I'm not so sure I'm happy with all the multicolor though...
what i find odd is that not one red card has been released or rumoured, ok besides hasbrospie's ones but that doesnt count. Green is getting a few wich is notable as green seems to be getting the spotlight this time, but a apparent big charicter for the book/ Ash the flamekin, we have heard nothing.

Oh man... red/blue fetchlands... I'm getting all tingly thinking about it...
I'm not good at digging up old sites, but a popular question regarding Tenth was why they didn't reprint the Onslaught fetches. Forsythe's reply was that they weren't a complete cycle of ten...yet. I'm not sure about the 'yet' part, but, obviously, printing the opposing fetches would drive demand for a set through the roof. Perhaps' they're saving this for a rainy, post-Masquemigawa era.
Personally, I don't think being a complete 'cycle' of ten is a necessary criterion for reprinting. It's just being obsessive-compulsive. In fact, I think oposing color cooperative cards should rarely, if ever, be printed. The colors ARE enemies, after all.

My guess? Ash might either not have their own card, or be one of those tricksy planeswalkers which we have speculated so much about... after all, who said there was only five??? (bum bum baaaaaaaah!)
Plus, if we're to believe the last block, we've already seen a red card from Lorwyn: Boldwyr Intimidator. Plus the Fomori future-shifted one, I forget the name...
Screw that. Faerie and various similiar beings in myth tend to be more Red and Black if anything with some blue. I am excited we're getting black faeries.
I resent the multicolour also; I was hoping for a KISS theme from Lorwyn.
No matter; monogreen elves get a boost just from what we have seen so far.
I dunno, Kithkin and Elves in black and white face makeup with Gene Simmons tongues would look kinda weird
We haven't actually SEEN any multicoloured cards yet, have we? so far all we know is that tribes appear in multiple colours. This has happened before (for example onslaught goblins sorta wandered over into black at times, birds already share blue and white) without going gold.
Mmm... HTF did they justify Treefolk in black? I really don't get that... White I can see, as a more rugged and hardy type of tree, lighter and more efficient. Green is pretty "No ****, Sherlock", but... Black? What kind of tree decides to grow in a swamp? Blue for deltas or something might have worked, or red for mountains, but... Black? Were they just going for Rock colors? That would make sense, since that seems to be the stressed theme with Treefolk, efficient use of resources, but... I still don't see how they manage to spin that off.
Um, Ebony Treefolk was black and green, its quite easy to do black with treefolks, they can be rotten, old, evil even. Also, there's tons of swamp cards that show eerie looking trees on its pic. Black and green are the obvious colors for treefolks.
Elves is somewhat suprising in black since Green and Black are enemies, but I guess the Lorwyn elves are judgmental and harsh. Nice twist though. It was not what I was entirely expecting.
Same with elves, black is so obvious, look at Llanowar Dead, it's black and green, black being they're more sinister, evil. It's like how clerics have been black and white, and goblins are black and red, etc etc.

I think the flavor of Llanowar Dead has nothing to do with sinistry or evilness. I'm putting my money on the "dead."
Edit: I posted this from memory of the card. If flavor text or the artwork strongly hints at what you meant, then I apologize.
I don't normally post here, but allow me to state my opinion please.
U/B faeries is a pretty good idea as an entire tribe of green flyers would be ridiculous. I also like Black treefolk. (I can't wait for a zombie tree!!!!) I'm not a fan of keping giants out of green, think Gruul people! Destructive unthinking brutes who rely on instinct alone and are BIG, shoulds G/R to me.
G/B elves is the best thing that happened to elves ever. I love the idea of corrupt necromancer elves running around.
Ya, Llanowar Dead is a zombie too, but i didn't want to bring that up cause I don't think there will be zombies in Llorwyn (maybe in Morningtide as the WB mix). Also, Elves of Deep Shadow is a green card, and adds black mana, but wasn't a zombie, it just made black mana cause it was an evil elf, and all the mana it would produe would be polluted, I guess. But in any event, this shows that green and black are the perfect colors for elves.
Concerning the whole U/B versus U/G fairy discussion: There may be fairies of both combinations, representing respectively the Unseelie and Seelie courts.
bad lifegain represents white? what about Wrath of God? or White Weenie? or Anthem effects?
Elves do not represent green. Even in D&D, elves range from what we'd define as green (wood elves) up to white (moon elves) to blue (sun elves) to black (drow). They just "represent" green to you because you're used to them being there.

If Magic divides faeries into the Seelie and Unseelie Courts and does it well, I will be so happy! That would be a masterwork of flavor incorporation. I hope that you are right.
unlikely. Faeries in lorwyn aren't all friendly and nature-loving. Get used to it. It'll be fun having some pint-sized malicious tricksters running around.
@CX316: Those would be the Unseelie. What I am saying is that there may ALSO be the "friendly and nature-loving" fairies, btw, I love the idea of U/B fairies, but I think it is extremely unfair to restrict them to those colors when most Magic players already have expectations about creatures of certain types.
Except that if there WAS that other court of faeries, then it would have been listed in scry as blue, black and green. y'know, like how they listed the colours of the treefolk.
the dominarian elves seem to be more of your U/G ones, with their lorwyn... err Lorwynian? cousins being the more sadistic malevolent ones.

(about the English language) It's kinda like a raft that was cobbled together from parts of three different boats and since then has been kept barely afloat with crude repairs every time a leak appeared.
