So far, most of the spoilers we've seen, mostly are elves. Perhaps expansion Lorwyn is concentrated on elves, so that makes Lorwyn's symbol leaf-ear like. As for morningtide, I have a hunch its has to do something with either white or red or both clans because of its fiery-sun like symbol (Or maybe boros will be part of the Lorwyn world. Heheheh. Joking). If it's gonna be white, I'm liking Morningtide.
Also the third set will be shadowfall (feels black to me). If there's any connection, every set is associated with color. Lorwyn = Green, Morningtide = White/Red, Shadowfall = Black.
So then, "Donut" = Blue? I mean, I think they'll stay away from doing the Torment/Judgment crap again. It was amusing for a tiny bit, but then it just got annoying.

I swear to god, it's like WotC was so into the Battle Beasts that they may have designed a block around them. The leaf, the flame...just wait for a log or a wave for confirmation
The expansion symbol looks really nice... I think it actually looks best as gold (rare) since that's closest to fire/flames -> sun. Which is a nice side-effect (some expansion symbols looks better in solver or black, which I think is kinda sad...).
I don't care much for the logo, where do you see it anyway beside on tourney decks and the novel cover?

Correct me if I am wrong, but this picture of the logo is still the one from the book cover, known for a couple weeks, right? That means that we do not know the real Morningtide logo so far...until Monday. It may end up slightly different in the end. On the other hand, the "placeholder" (e.g. not real) book covers are frequently popping up only for the first book of the set (we had "fake" logos for Ravnica, Time Spiral and Lorwyn).

I must admit I really do like the expansion symbol. It seems very thematically linked. And as pointed out by others the rarity should be very easy to see. B+
As long as the symbol looks better than the ugly X edition's one, I'm fine with it.
EDIT: The moon. Phear my MSPaint skillz!
Look at the symbol more carefully at the original picture. The two interrupted (by the sun) arcs of the outer (convex) edge of the alleged crescent do not line up, so it's not really a crescent or a moon. They're just flames from the sun.

Guys, expansions are almost never associated with a particular color, despite the theme of the set name or set symbol. Otherwise, Time Spiral would have been a blue set, Planar Chaos a red set, and Future Sight a blue set. And Onslaught would have been a red set, and Legions a white set, and Scourge either black or red. Which is simply not the case. So don't assume just because the expansion's a sunflare that it's going to be a white or red set.

It's just a SPECULATION. Also, you never know what wizards will do. Torment sound black didn't it? So the whole set was focused on black. I was just SPECULATING. Wizards, of all the expansions I've seen, really does something unexpected. Sure some of us would have thought of it but once a set is realesed, it really surprises us. Like what they did in TS, it was surprising enough to bring the past back. PC is surprising in the way they did alternate cards (especially when we FIRST SAW Damnation - WTF, Black ***!). FS is also surprising in the way how it brought the future of magic to us. I will not be surprised if someday they make a multicolor core set, seeing goodness from Ravnica and Invasion altogether. I would love that. So it would also be surprising if WoTC named expansions that reflect particular colors.
But all of these are just SPECULATIONS. I may or may not come true. Nothing is incorrect until we see the set's outcome.

White is the one color for equality. So how do you get advantage when you're unwilling to give yourself a leg up? You find a way to turn equality into a weapon. Make it active and offensive. Wrath of God answers this call. Evening the playing field is quite aggressive when you're the one behind. Or you're the one that knew such an event was coming and planned ahead. Wrath of God gives the most defensive color some teeth. - MaRo http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=mtgcom/daily/mr164
WOTC specified they don't want to do another set as heavily biased toward one colour as torment any time soon. They won't rule it out permanently, but they don't like what it does.
I also think it looks a tad like a comet... I would normally associate a sun with being a tad more equal on all sides, or at least showing the horizon it was dawning over. I think "fireball". If anything, it reminds me of the comet in FF7. Charred Kithkin. Mmm.
Shadowfall sounds like the place the BG elves might live. It sounds like a dark forest ("Elves of Deep Shadow"..) It's nice to see some multicolor support in this set (the Fling Giant, the precons..), since it's a little friendlier to people coming right out of Ravnica.
