Creature - Elemental Incarnation
Fear
Whenever a creature deals damage to you, destroy it.
When Dread is put in a graveyard from anywhere, shuffle it into its owner's library.
6/6
Gee, a tribal block where the first set contains a cycle of 3CCC casting cost fatties? Where do they come up with such original and innovative, previously unheard of ideas?
I like these elementals as finishers in in mono-colored decks. Clearing, the 6/6 with Fear for 6 is pretty powerful. Not only does it have an ability at is an independent and not targeting trigger (the destroy ability) it shuffles back into your library. Sure, there's no re-animation, but it helps with Discard and sac abilities. I like. Sure it's not exciting, but sometimes, they don't have to be to be played.
you ready it right? The creature says when a creature dels damage do you destroy that creature basically

How clunky is that mana cost? Three black is a bit crazy, especially in a standard with no Dark Ritual.

If you can bother to pay the mana cost, get liliana to have 8+ loyalty, find some way to make all your opponet's creatures attack AND not die from it (but still take damage) THEN this card might have some use.
but that's like saying squire is useful because you can pitch it to Nantuko Husk, it doesn't exactly mean anything.
I'm afraid of the blue one. 3UUU for a 6/6 is already over the curve in blue. With an important ability attached to it, well, we could be looking at a new finisher of choice for blue.

I mostly feel like I'm being sold a bill of goods with this incarnation creature type. The last time we saw incarnations, they actually DID something while they were in your graveyard. These just... go away.
They're not evoking the good memories of Judgment. Why are they even called incarnations?
We don't care if you don't like it... but if you've GOT to tell us, at least add a little content to your posts. Further Spamish posts will be met with deletions, warnings and Infractions for repeat offenders...
I like this card, it's got little kid trade fodder written all over it.;)
And... I wonder when they're going to preview the "comes into play tapped and can tap for mana of lets say W or G unless I control a Kithkin" lands....?

Personally, I think it's a pretty cool card. I'd like to say that I'll play it and it'll be awesome, but I'm honestly not sure. I might give it a try as a 2-of or something in a mono-b deck.
Not that great...? I thought this preview card was very good. It forces your opponent to play very carefully...because not only do their creatures die upon attack, they also have a clock on them too. Some sort of MonoBlack deck will use this.
A 6/6 for 6 with evasion plus a very self-protective ability? Sign me up.
the 2nd one we now know of the elemental incarnations. dread is quite good, considering that it has evasion and quite efficiently costed for its size. the 3 black mana might set it back to be nominated as a finisher with decks similar to solar flare. with a warhammer or some life gain, you can stand to take some damage to kill of your opponent's creatures.
You have to hand it to Wizards for giving the multiplayer column a card that will make the Timmys go gaga while the rest of us scratch our heads.
That said, I look forward to smashing face in draft with it. Casting one of these might not be quite as game-ending as Stronghold Overseer, but it's pretty damn close.

Celebrating 3 years of open-minded acceptance, indispensable help, great advice, and incalculably-creative deck-design... Thanks for all the magic!
While netdecking and testing VileHorror i thought about Biorhythm. Sure its really expensive, off-color and crappy but still you're always the one with creatures while playing VH. That made me think.

Blue's gotten 5/5 dragons for 5U and 5/6 Flyers for 4UU before, so I think we'll be ok.
Yes, this is not a good constructed card. It' not designed to be. It's a good limited card, though, provided you can get the BBB. It's also a good multiplayer card. GASP! WHo would have guessed the column devoted to MULTIPLAYER games would have a good multiplayer card? Completely took me by surprise.
All sarcasm aside, don't just diss the card because it doesn't fit your format. I personally like the card for it's flavor and coolness, not because I think it's any good in a constructed format.

It seems first pick worthy because of its bod/evasion but it sorta does dedicate you to black
Thanks for the awesome sig Topher!

I hope the blue one is like, whenever you get dealt damage by a creature, you draw a card, that'd be a lot better.

3 black mana in a deck playing black as a main color isn't really all that much to ask. Say goodbye to the Rav duals in T2.

Yeah...Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth and Korlash, Heir to Blackblade are the current mana fixers for black. (Not to mention Dreadship Reef and Graven Cairns if you really want) It, like Vigor, is okay, not great.
Definitely interesting look to it, though it lacks flavor text.
