Edit: My thoughts - It's a very nice card and as some people have said a 5/5 for BGW which you don't see. Of course this makes Treefolk way more powerful since they seem to have more toughness than power (which makes sense, they're trees). Not only have we not seen this type of ability before, it makes blocking/attacking way more complicated. It's very well designed and I am very impressed. This should be a fun card.
For constructed, this might not see play since it has three colors and at the moment, we don't know if there's enough duel type lands to play this. We shall see though.

Good job, Wizards! This is the most creative card in the set so far - well done! What a great idea, very well designed. I can finally say, Nice Job Wizards!!
This is quite rude to Solifuge, as mentioned in the article, and all other +X/+0 things... isn't that a bit unfair? The more I look at this, the more ridiculous it is. This is the most powerful card we've seen so far in Lorwyn, and if there is something to top this, then yes power-creep is evident.
Let's just say Wizards wants the 400 copies of Tarmogoyf to finally be able to trade with eachother
While netdecking and testing VileHorror i thought about Biorhythm. Sure its really expensive, off-color and crappy but still you're always the one with creatures while playing VH. That made me think.
EDIT: Other than for blocking, I mean... as in, attacking too. With this guy, treefolk become fatties. I can envision a casual deck which uses treefolk and spiders (and other high toughness guys) to stop the opponent until it can drop Doran and start attacking.

They call me Hadoken 'cause I'm down-right fierce.
Well then...and with that...Treefolk.dec seems almost playable.
ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!! Say WHAT?!! Toughness? Treefolk just got better...and so did White...;).
Cheers,
Austin
Edit: Not to mention those CIPT, add any color lands. They're like basics...only better...because three colors by turn three doesn't seem all that hard now...;).
The only good thing about this post is the edible chocolate roaches they gave out! Mmm mmm!
*crawl crawl*
Wait a minute, edible roaches don't crawl! EDIBLE ROACHES DON'T CRAWL!
Wow! Birds just went up in value, as it color fixes for this, and attacks for 1. Not to mention this is effectively a 5/5 for 3 for combat damage. Also Anti-Fairy, if they do live up to the x/1 more than Wyrden.

Wow. Just wow. I was looking at mono-green tree folk, but this is insane. Its a 5/5 for WGB essentially. Then it turns your Battlewand Oak into a 5/5 beater. Incredible. Treefolk are looking really good. That said, it does benefit your opponents creatures as well, however, most aggro creatures tend to have greater power than toughness or have equal power and toughness. It does make Tarmogoyf slightly better, but thats no big deal. I love it.

Do threads in this forum ever not get hijacked by the magical invisible hand of the market guys?
It may be hard to play once in a while, but with the lands that are rumored so far I think this card will definitely see some major play. AWESOMELY DESIGNED CARD!
It took me a moment to realize that this was a three mana 5/5... And not just that, it's a 3cc 5/5 that randomly hoses 2/1 dorks that aggro runs.
Um, GWB midrange, anyone?
And here I thought the treefolk were just going to be jank... Good god, when does this set stop throwing awesome stuff at us? I've seen, like, four cards I wasn't at least mildly interested in.

Treefolk are SICK! Although it doesn't quite synergies with Lignify, at least on your opponent's guys. It's also a Legend so its hard to run 4 like you would want to. Jesus.
Well I can't believe the stuff that is not I Can't Believe It's Not Butter is not I Can't Believe It's Not Butter and I can't believe that both I Can't Believe It's Not Butter and the stuff that I can't believe is not I Can't Believe It's Not Butter are both, in fact, not butter. And I believe they both might be butter, in a cunning disguise. And in fact there's a lot more butter around than we all thought there was. -Alice Tinker

EDIT: Crookclaw Transmuter and Merfolk Thaumaturgist and Dream Stalker (sideboard) may have gotten better? I could see Control paying the Crookclaw even though it's pricey.

Pain to get the CC off it looks currently but man, once you do.

*wow*
Suffice to say, this will be as format-defining as Gaddok Teeg. What good is a new Savannah Lions if it only deals 1 damage?!?! And a 5/5 for 3 mana?
*AWESOME*!
Thanks IM

Wait a minute, edible roaches don't crawl! EDIBLE ROACHES DON'T CRAWL!
Are these tribes going to be contructed playable? That would make for an interesting format! Clash of the tribes!
I dig the groooove.

EDIT: Wow, Wall of Roots just got betterer, who wants to attack into that?!?
Hes incredible at 3 mana and being black and having 5 toughness he will be extremely hard to remove for the cost.
Rewarding bigger toughness instead of power being the big deal since magics creation is quite funny lol.
Feel free to bid on my cards here!
Me likey. Especially with the New Lignify thingy.
Hm? That 1/1 token is now a 4/4 for 2 mana? Sure thing.

I'm going to use him with Karn in a casual deck.
Has Wall.dec been given some love or what!
Edit: Kitsune Loreweaver has some hot synergy here as well.

But wow, nice! Room for lots of abuse here kids. Remember that white man land, the 1/5 that wasn't that great? Guess what... muwahaha!
heck... Honor Guard, Char Rumbler is kind of funny as well... even Ornithopter and Phyrexian Walker
