Wow!! veeeeery interesting!! It's nice to see how the tribal theme interacts nicely and flavourly. Who woul imagine that treefolks would be more than walls?
I like it, just need to see how deal with the 3 different mana cost!
First reaction: This card sucks.
Second reaction: Eh, not terrible. Still, not great.
Third reaction-O.M.G. AMAZING!
God, tribal is going to be huge. Already Kithkin and Treefolk look viable. I was thinking that Time Spiral was going to stick as the main block in standard, with lorwyn in its shadow, but it's quite possible that the opposite will be true.
Color intensive? Yeah. Playable if in colors? Definitely. Build around? Yup!
LOL...Wall of Roots is MAD TECH now (if it wasn't before...;) )
As to color intensive...thanks to Sr. Hydro...we have the technology..we can CAST him. Remember...cycle of lands...storage counters...remove one to add mana of any color? Any of this ringing a bell? Ridiculous casting costs be damned is what I say...bring them on!! lol Where are my Elder Dragon Legends while we're at it!!
Yeah, if only the colors matched up better taht could be wicked fun. But the double from Char rumbler with the cost just won't work. But wow this is alot of fun.

This card seems REALLY REALLY good, except for the cost.
Of course, this deck demands Birds of Paradise, that ATTACK NOW! Too bad Jitte is gone.
It also makes ****ing Wall of Roots a ****ing 5/5. Oh man.

Everything is true in some sense, false in some sense, meaningless in some sense, true and false in some sense, true and meaningless in some sense, false and meaningless in some sense, and true, false, and meaningless in some sense. Repeat this 666 times and you will reach enlightenment.
In some sense. The only good fnord is a dead fnord.
Edit: My thoughts - It's a very nice card and as some people have said a 5/5 for BGW which you don't see. Of course this makes Treefolk way more powerful since they seem to have more toughness than power (which makes sense, they're trees). Not only have we not seen this type of ability before, it makes blocking/attacking way more complicated. It's very well designed and I am very impressed. This should be a fun card.
For constructed, this might not see play since it has three colors and at the moment, we don't know if there's enough duel type lands to play this. We shall see though.

I concur, and with all the other statements about this card being insane.
I might have to start playing BGW again in standard...
peace
Edit: Also to all the posts about Tribal being insane, I agree. Standard is going to keep a couple archetypes, mainly green ones (tarmogoyf), but there will be a lot of newer archetypes.
Also, I officially name Lorwyn, Ravnica Block #2. Why? You know why. Still want an answer? Because Ravnica kicked major ass, and was multicolored. And Lorwyn is kicking major ass already (with only like 60 cards spoiled so far or so) and it's multicolored.
I say freakin' yay!

What the hell? Screw Treefolk tribal, this guy is retarded good all by himself. Chase rare for sure, this is going to be a staple in every format's Zoo decks for years to come.

If thenew mana fixers are cheap enough, I may make myself a high-toughness beatstick deck and beat face.
It doesn't hose all aggro, though - Goyf gets 1 more power with this guy out. Even so, you could run Goyf WITH this! With the right mana and Birds of Paradise, you could drop this guy on turn two, supported by Goyfs and other low-cost treefolk/spiders/high toughness guys, and just beat face all day long. Then throw in Garruk, all your aggro-ey pump spells and removal.

They call me Hadoken 'cause I'm down-right fierce.
I am so glad I haven't lost my Birds of Paradise. The extensive creature control in the earlier environment made it hard for me to make a home for it, but the amount of quality creatures like this in Lorwyn makes me think that they really do mean to push creature battles into the front, instead of a strange world dominated by mass kill.
I love it. It effectively makes high toughness creatures better and it could even be a sideboard card for going against those aggro, high power/low toughness creatures....
Overall, superb.

What an unusual card. Its in BWG to boot. Hmmm...I like it though. I'll use it with Autochthon Wurm and Guardian of Vitu-Ghazi. *lol* What a shame Rav is going out.
I'm starting to feel like this is the third coming of Urza's Saga -- this time, minus the ridiculous combo pieces!
I mean, seriously, this is obscene. Every card just dwarfs it's predecessors, inspiring awe and fear in the competitive circuit.

the cc is the only bad part of it

Still, incredible.
Too strong in my opinion, a 3/3 for 5?. That enchantment of theres now becomes an offensive spell now on a 1/1 token with this in play.
This is absolutely crazy!

Edit: Correction: 5/5 not 5/0... confused for a second on the guy. lol
I REALLY like that wizards took an off-the-wall design and made a very good card with it!
It even makes Tarmogoyf +1/+0, and probably will break other Treefolk.

I really, really like this card, but the colors are saddening to the point of probably not being playable.
